Yes it would replace step #27 ".NET 4 ESU Bypass" should not be installed if you want to continue using dotNetFx4_ESU_Installer_v4

abbodi1406: I tested the BypassESU-LH-v8 tool yesterday. I selected option #1 (full install) and then did a restart. I then did a "Check for updates" with Windows Update. The September 2025 updates for SMQR and MNF 4.8 were detected and successfully installed. The BypassESU-LH-v8 tool is now in step #27 of the guide. I was tell. i didn't saw, it install WU patcher for server 2008 SP 2. And when I used with bypass esu v7, WU showed updates only with that duet.
Not sure about 0xC8000266, but I have a VM with 32-bit Vista updated, it sometimes gets 0x8007000E which can be /bypassed/ by just letting it fail a few times.
It is best bug what back after update October updates on Windows Server 2008 SP2 after use bypass esu (for wu patcher) and bypass esu 8 lh (for suppressor and net esu) + that datastore.edb. WU find last ESUs and after install them, next find updates, bug back.
Someone give finally instructions how good make to Server 2008 SP2 for ESU normally work automatically without errors in WU? To Vista you gave details I saw.
I understand, still need modify Net for install. Because WU in Windows Vista still can't install it normally.
Hi @abbodi1406 I followed your guide step by step on 32-Bit Vista, everything was working great until I installed the latest (Dec 2025) SMQR. Now I am unable to get past this error: This is a brand new VM setup to test it. I have tried all the remedial steps in the guide. Restarting the WU service, rebooting PC. Reinstalling WSUS Proxy and resetting the DataStore.edb but nothing seems to work for me. I have been trying for the last hour but can't get past that error. It's similar to what was happening before with the C8000266 error. As soon as the latest SMQR is installed it just breaks WU for me again. All prerequisites are installed, plus the Bypass. Anything else you can suggest I can try at this point?

I wonder. You showed Vista x86. And to you look like Net 4.6.2 in ESU did can without combination install normally. x64 make problems + need combine. + WSUS proxy has problems with x64. I should ask then why any problems on x86 but x64 make problems?
