I'm talking about general problems when sucessfully using v4 before (which also needed KB4528069) and wanted to use WU now. For @erpsterm35 I'd recommend to install the January or February SSU manually and also the January Rollup. Then I'd follow the instructions in post #1. Also Home Premium could be the problem since it's not officially supported.
1st a BIG thanks! Just a quick note in case it matters to anyone: V.4 worked for Feb. but not March with a win7 V/Box VM running on a PC with a Ryzen 2700 -- v. 5 worked perfectly, but I had to re-run wufuc & reboot to enable updates with new hardware.
Updated March Security Only + IE patches plus the new SSU without a hitch, as was pretty much expected. The Bypass is golden. Thanks again Abbodi for the great work from you and your team.
My wife runs Windows 7 Ultimate. I run Windows 10. I installed the extended security updates tool on her computer as she wanted, and paid it no mind. Tonight she reported back that she was getting all updates. Thanks a bunch for all the help in this forum!
Yes, sorry if I did not clarify. What occured was. I tried to update to March Security with v4. It would not install, found out there was an SSU update, installed it successfully, tried to install March Security again. On reboot it failed, came to see what was up here. Found v5 was now a thing, uninstalled v4, installed v5 and the ESU Prep and boom. So yea I basically ended up installing the 2020-03 SSU from Update Catalog, hence why no entry in history.
Yes. By Update Catalog I mean the Microsoft Update Catalog, that's how for the most part you manually obtain updates.
