I have a feeling this has been replied a couple of times to you now: If you have the rollup installed, no need for the 2 separate updates.
The IE CU is only required when using Security-Only packs (like me). The full CUs have it integrated.

Thank you, these updates are already installed. Ran sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth - no success
Reboot, and if that doesn't do it, reset WU, check the Troubleshoot Q&A (linked at the OP) for instructions
Not sure if anyone else has encountered Windows Update stuck checking for updates after installing this ESU bypass tool. I was able to fix this by stopping the Windows Update service and deleting the "SoftwareDistribution" folder in %WINDIR% (it was over 1 GB in size). Then I restarted and was able to scan for and install the April update successfully.
Btw I only encountered this issue on an older 2007 laptop upgraded from Vista Business (ThinkPad X300) with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit install date ~2010, so it was probably due to the many updates it had installed over time. This issue did not occur on newly installed systems installed with Windows 7 SP1 ISO.
I have done the "test" and "processed" the instructions. But I'm not so sure it worked. Because I don't see any updates for Windows Defender at WU. And normally they should be displayed, right? I guess I will have to wait until the next patchday to be sure.
Isn't that deprecated? I never seen it get definition updates in all my tests. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...dates-eligibility.80606/page-137#post-1591738
