Are there any of the prerequisite updates that were not offered via WU at all and would have to be manually install before using the bypass?
The bypass will report a missing prerequisite, all are listed at the OP, to be able to verify manually if they are installed, for the coming may updates on WU, the new ESU Lic. Prep. Update is also expected to be needed.
I figured out what the issue was. My file extractor was outdated, causing the files not to show when decrypted, but only for the V6 file. Once I updated it to the latest version it was fine.
WU has offered me 3 important files: the security-features KB4556836, an update for the dot Net framework, and the removal tool. They're preparing to install. We'll see.
Same problem... Even tried the .NET 4.8 Repair Tool and re-running kb4556399 from the Windows Catalog on Win7 Ultimate X64. No clue what the issue is.
I am now downloading the monthly rollup and .NET updates. I installed the updated version of the Licensing Prep. update. Edit: Updates are currently being installed. Edit 2: 2 successful, 1 failed. Error 643.
Must be a dodgy update. Getting the same. Win7 Ultimate x64. Hadn't yet installed the updated lic prep. I install the Security Only Update & IE Cumulative update manually via the MS catalogue, all else (.Net, Malicious Software Removal Tool etc) done through WU. Just KB4556399 failed.
I use Win 7 Ultimate x64 and I have installed everything correctly, except the .NET Framework update which fails with error 643, like all other users.
It looks like even the Microsoft catalog is messed up: When I entered the specific KB number(s), it says they're not found.
Microsoft Catalog is now completely messed up. One hour before the release of the May updates when I searched up "windows 7 update 2020" it showed all the 2020 updates including the rollups and the separate packages. Now when I enter "windows 7 update 2020" it shows some drivers from 2017...
