I am now downloading the monthly rollup and .NET updates. I installed the updated version of the Licensing Prep. update.
Edit: Updates are currently being installed.
    Edit 2: 2 successful, 1 failed. Error 643.

Must be a dodgy update. Getting the same. Win7 Ultimate x64. Hadn't yet installed the updated lic prep.

I install the Security Only Update & IE Cumulative update manually via the MS catalogue, all else (.Net, Malicious Software Removal Tool etc) done through WU. Just KB4556399 failed.

I use Win 7 Ultimate x64 and I have installed everything correctly, except the .NET Framework update which fails with error 643, like all other users.

It looks like even the Microsoft catalog is messed up: When I entered the specific KB number(s), it says they're not found.

Microsoft Catalog is now completely messed up. One hour before the release of the May updates when I searched up "windows 7 update 2020" it showed all the 2020 updates including the rollups and the separate packages. Now when I enter "windows 7 update 2020" it shows some drivers from 2017...

Same here. All previous updates went smoothly. Maybe Microsoft did something?

643 as well, trying to find the reason for the failure. I don't believe it's ESU related.

Me too... error 643 on KB4556399. And I don't believe either it's ESU related, but I guess a mistake by Microsoft. I read somewhere to uninstall completely all the versions of Microsoft Netframework, install them again and the problem should be fixed.
