3rd Party program Installation Conflict with ESU Bypass v7 Recently I encountered a problem wit MSIEXEC during an upgrade of a 3rd Party software product and was able to fix the issue by removing ESU Bypass v7. Apparently the changes which work so well supporting the monthly updates can cause issues with 3rd Party software products that utilize MSIEXEC for updating. Providing this information for those that may be encountering similar issues.
I can't seem to get KB4565539 installed on an Ultimate x64 system. It just keeps telling me that the update is not applicable. I've tried reinstalling the .NET and .dll patches with the v7 utility. I am able to get it to work on an Enterprise x64 system without any hiccups.
dotNetFx4_ESU_Installer revived - Based on unpublished bypass, which depend on PreferExternalManifest / custom slc.dll - The new script temporary adds SLC redirection to bypass the ESU validation, install the updates, then remove the SLC redirection - It will remove dotNetFx4 ESU Bypass hook if detected, to avoid confliction - Supports Windows 7 / Server 2008 R2 only
