for now every time that there is net update you must enable the net bypass ,install the update, and then unistall again the net bypass --all these are in the options on the bypass tool v7--

the reason for that is as it has been mention above is that the bypass conflicts with windows installer.

Yes. The DotNET4 bypass in v7 is known to have side effects on MSI Installers.

I've read earlier that some people are struggling to install Office updates on their machines. I am also having problems with it. Using Office 2010 Professional. Last installed updates from Windows Update were back in April. I have the V7 installed, but without the .NET part. Tried to install the Office updates from May or June manually, but it gives me an error. Any help?

why you don't simply delete office 2010 with office scrubber and install 2016 or 2019 ????

KB4566517: 2020-07 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework for Windows 7 for x64
Installation status: Failed (error code 641)

I tried to install this both with and without the "Install .NET 4 ESU Bypass" option enabled in Live-OS-Setup.cmd (I'm using v7). Both ways got the same error 641.

I then used the latest version of dotnetFX4_ESU_Installer.cmd to install manually (I downloaded only ndp47-kb4565623-v2-x64_*.exe from the long list of files in that KB). It seemed to go through the process without an error. When I checked for new updates, the .NET update had vanished, and the KB4565354 2020-07 Service Stack Update appeared, which I installed.

Where did KB4566517 disappear to? If I check for new updates now, it says no important updates available...

So, 1) how often do .NET updates get released through ESU, & 2) does that then mean that, when a .NET update gets released on Patch Tuesday (2nd Tuesday of the month), before I have WU download & install it, that I should enable the DotNET Bypass in v7?

Irregular, normal would be monthly frequency but sometimes it's several months before a new dotnet rollup/cu is released.
Probably best to do if you encounter problems.

Hi! I'm trying to install the kb4566517 update but it fails with error code 643.
Decided to check this thread again and there seems to be a new tool to fix that?
Could someone please give me a step by step on how to use it?
    Thank you!

I'm really losing my nerve because this KB4566517 installation just won't work. I have tried several times, and even if you tried for two days, and this will not only be able to no work......

Could someone really tell me how to get this update done successfully? This is really annoying .....
