Moin @ All! My August 2020 ESUpdate experience for Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 systems: KB4569736 (Security Only Update for .NET Framework 3.5.1) -> succesfully installed KB4569733 (Security Only Update for .NET Framework 4.8) -> succesfully installed with the help of the .NET 4 ESU Bypass solution from BypassESU-v7-AIO KB4571687 (Cumulative Security Update for IE 11 for Windows 7 x64) -> succesfully installed KB4571719 (Security Only Quality Update for Windows 7 x64) -> succesfully installed KB4570673 (Servicing Stack Update for Windows 7 x64) -> succesfully installed KB4538483-v2 need not be replaced by KB4575903 "Licensing method": KB4528069 & BypassESU-v4.7z @ abbodi1406 & Co: Thx for your support! Great job!
Problem: The Option "[5] Remove ESU Supressor" does not work anymore after KB4571719 (Security-only) or KB4571687 (IE11 cumulative) is installed. The option is just gone. Deinstallation of KB4528069 also does not work. Installation of all patches works, but in my opinion the option [5] should be there to deinstall bypassesu afterwards. There i something wrong.
I updated two Lenovo S20s, two Lenovo Thinkpads (x200s and x220), and two HP EliteBooks (an 840 G1 and an 820 G3). On one of the S20s WU never finds any updates, but I can always install them manually. It takes a bit of time, but since it always ultimately works, I'm too lazy to try to figure out why WU never finds anything. And something REALLY weird happened with the x220: when the updates were done, I was informed that the battery was completely empty . I can't understand why, and the machines power manager says the battery is still in good shape. I'm 99.9% certain it has nothing to do with the updates, but it was a strange coincidence. I'm charging it now. Let's see what happens. As always, my sincere thanks to the team. You guys should get the Nobel Prize.
I know that and I haven't installed any ESU-Updates. Before the installation of the aktual updates the option [5] ist working well and after the installation this option ist gone. Maybe there is an ESU-Update integrated in the todays security-only update (to sabotage bypassesu)?
I thought you ment KB4538483. So why is the option [5] still there after installation of the july updates, but not after the august updates?
For the first time I get a problem 4569767, went smoothly Trying to install 4569780, 4569775 and 4569754 I get this error log: "Patch (C:\f5be3d41ae135fb8fde661c6d92f\NDP48-KB4569754.msp) Install failed on product (Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8). Msi Log: Final Result: Installation failed with error code: (0x80070643), "Fatal error during installation. " (Elapsed time: 0 00:00:48)." ?
Ok, guys, sorry for the late reply, life got in the middle. I checked the .html as eMTeee suggested and I found two particular lines: >> MSI returned 0xBC2: ERROR_SUCCESS_REBOOT_REQUIRED and >> Final Result: Installation completed successfully with success code: (0x80070BC2), "The requested operation is successful. Changes will not be effective until the system is rebooted. By the way, in Program and Features > Installed Updates the update is listed and if you right click on it Uninstall appears.
