Apologies since this has probably been asked, but the search function is ass: Before v9 , an additional NET bypass had to be installed and removed each time (to avoid glitches). Does the new NET bypass that's included in v9 also need to be removed each time, or will it work fine automatically? I suggest clarifying this in the OP.
Nothing changed, when you experience problems with msiexec, remove the .net bypass and retry. it's published at the OP.
Thanks. So I guess it needs to be removed again each time, but this time using "LiveOS-Setup.cmd". It's formatted confusingly, because it looks like the notice only applies to the second line (the separate bypass). Instead of: - bypass for .NET 4 ESU updates alternatively, you can use the separate .NET 4 Bypass // See Notice below It could say: - included bypass for .NET 4 ESU updates alternatively, you can use the separate .NET 4 Bypass // See Notice regarding .NET 4 bypasses below //
is it fully updated? please let me know if my updates is missing or not i don't feel like to install IE11 here is my txt file attached
I had reason to run SFC and the CBS log contained lots of mention of WU. Is it possible that Win7 SFC can detect any changes to these files and restore the originals? Re read through first post and saw no mention of SFC.
Run this in an elevated cmd and post the content of the txt file here in
text
tags, here. Code: findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"
Text file attached. Oddly, now I don't find those WU files listed, so maybe they were repaired. I'll keep an eye on this, and if the patcher doesn't work next month I'll know why. Maybe some others could run SFC and see what they get.
Yes it is but the Bypass (and Simplix) uses wuaueng2.dll/wuaueng3.dll and change wuauserv path to patched file this trick only works in Win7/Vista
To add to what was said in post #4756: When BypassESU-v9 is deployed in full installation mode in Windows 7 SP1, it does the following (for me anyway): It adds this folder to the C:\WINDOWS directory. These files are inside the WuEsu folder. It adds these 2 Windows updater DLL files to the original Windows updater DLL file in the C:\WINDOWS\System32 directory.
