There is no NDP stuff you have to install again. Maybe you mean the msiexec.exe problems that can occur when the .net 4 bypass is installed?
I remember there was a post saying that something NDP thing was released and it told you how to install it. Was it only important to install if you have .NET problems installing ESU?
Only that the .net 4 bypass can cause msiexec.exe and other related errors, then uninstalling the .net 4 bypass is needed.
Embedded Standard 7(not PosReady 7) is first month after EOS(2020/10/13) I tried BypassESU-V9 Live OS installation Result Direct ESU update (KB4586827) install - OK Direct .NET 4 update install - OK Windows Update - NG (not appear ESU updates) Since it works normally on Windows 7, I think that there is no mistake in the procedure. Please fix WU

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I reported in an earlier post regarding the November updates ... "The NET update available from the Windows Catalogue, as you might know, was an .exe file. I thought it would be easy to install, but I got a surprise from somewhere I never expected: The installation failed, and all of a sudden, I got a notice from NORTON SECURITY that it had found a problem with a dll that the .NET 4 Bypass uses (sorry, I've forgotten the exact name), AND IT REMOVED IT ... AND PLACED IT IN QUARANTINE!!! Fortunately, I know enough about Norton to restore the file. I then ran the .NET update .exe again, and everything was fine, but I found it really weird. Nothing similar had ever happened before." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I assume my issue was related to what zyoops mentioned. What makes it sort of interesting is that, as I wrote, this only happened on two of the six machines on which I use the Bypass, although the basic software setup on all six is identical: OS, AV, email client, browsers, .NET version, updates, etc. The two problem machines are HP Elitebook laptops, an 840 G1 and an 820 G3. The other four are Lenovos. Does anyone have any idea how this could happen? Thank you.

Sorry, could somebody explain this to me: I managed to download the security-only update for 11/2020. This means everything worked fine? Does it not include all prior security updates?? Thanks!
Did you install security-only update for 11/2020 ? If so, that means that you're fine. Security only updates contain all new security fixes for a month.
Thanks, I did follow the instruction in the first post. But how do I know actually that everything worked as it should? I managed to be offered and install kb4586805 (security-only update 11/220) through WA, so that's it or not? Or are there specific ESU updates I should be offered?
What do you mean by WA ? Since you managed to install security-only update 11/220, so that means that everything is working well. Nov Rollup ESU are offered through windows update but since you installed security-only, you don't need to install Rollup, it's either the one or the other but no need to install both at the same time. If you have Net Framework F4.x installed, you will need to install also dotnetfx4 ESU (NET 4 ESU). Choose option 7 from bypass v9 to be able to install NET 4 ESU updates manually or through WU. But only the update that corresponds to your installed .NET 4.x version will be included via WU. Exp : if you installed 4.5.2 you wil receive only 4.5.2 update if you installed 4.8 you wil receive only 4.8 update By doing all this, you should be fine and you will normally be able to install next month Security-Only ESU and next month NET 4 ESU.
Success installing latest Nov 10 security rollup kb4586827 using BypassESU v9. Was using v4 since Jan2020 and all went well until I tried and failed security rollup install in AUG... Thank you! Question: v9 ESU suppressor cannot be uninstalled. Is it OK to leave it or should I find the installation folder and remove it? Re "- ESU Suppressor cannot be uninstalled after installing ESU updates, and option [5] is not shown in that case"
With WA I mean the built in "Windows Updates" (live). I had chosen option 1 as recommended, and was offered and installed KB4586083 as a .NET security and quality update. So I guess everything worked well, thanks a lot...
That's strange, afaik you can't receive Security-Only ESU updates through WU, only Rollup ESU are offered through WU. Security-only updates need to be installed manually.
Sorry, in fact that was wrong, I was offered the security and quality one, and then downloaded and installed manually the security only.
