Delighted by this tool as always. Is it still needed to remove the .NET bypass once a .NET update is installed to prevent what the first post says about some incompatibility?
Thanks friend, I was just confused not seeing a mention of that in what you posted two messages above : But it's all good now =)
Moin @ All! My January 2021 ESUpdate experience for Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 systems: "Licensing method": KB4528069 & BypassESU-v11 KB4597254 (Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 4.8) -> succesfully installed KB4598289 (Security Only Quality Update for Windows 7 SP1 x64) -> succesfully installed @ abbodi1406: Thx for your support! Great job!
Is it weird that I can still get NEW updates for Office 2010, even now after it's supposed to be discontinued and unsupported?
No it's not weird consider it delayed security fixes Office 2007 got 3 months of updates post EOS too
Not that I heard of. I vaguely remember getting an extra month or two of 2007 updates, but I don't know if that was actual support or just delayed patches like you suggested.
This was my test last december 2020: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...dates-eligibility.80606/page-247#post-1634995
After installing the 2 latest updates, PPTP and RDP is back working but L2TP and PSK are still broken. I converted my Win 7 ultimate into a RDP, PPTP, PSK and L2TP server. Things stop working after the December updates. Now only RDP and PPTP works.
Hello, I might as well take this opportunity to ask my first dumb question of 2021. Is there a setting in the windows update window to enable the receipt of office updates? I have Office 2016 installed and have never been offered any via WU. Very pleased with today's successful updates on three Win7 installs using Esu Bypass v 11. Best wishes, hugh
Nope MS has kicked it to the curb like an old retread. Apparently it isn't "edge-y" enough. Who knows if they'll ever update it again... Control Panel > System and Security > Change Settings (left-hand pane) > Microsoft Update > □ Give me updates for Microsoft products and check for new optional Microsoft software when I update Windows Check that box and you'll get yer Office updates.
In order of likelihood: ● You might want to check if this SSU has been superseded by a newer SSU package already installed on your system. ● There could also be a chance you installed this same SSU earlier, so double check your updates history. ● Also verify the package matches your Windows version and appropriate processor architecture. ● Another possibility is you're still missing a prerequisite update that needs to be applied before this one will take. The Windows update history found on your computer is easy to access but often unreliable. To get a more accurate list of installed hotfixes and updates, run a command prompt (cmd.exe) administratively (right click, run as administrator) with the following command: wmic qfe list full /format:htable > c:\HotfixList.htm Then look on your root drive (C:\) for the results = HotfixList.htm If all this checks out, maybe list what prerequisite updates you've installed to date, and where you are exactly with the BypassESU. As it is, you didn't spell out too many details in your post.
