Downloaded all windows updates except KB4536952
After that ran the BypassESU installer.bat (as administrator)
Then downloaded test patch KB4528069 from MICROSOFT UPDATE CATALOGUE but the installation fails.

    What now?

Ugh, this is an annoying thread to follow. Could a mod maybe add a notification to the first post that it's really no use to try this until the February ESU updates become available? Only then it'll become clear if the patch actually (still) works or that a new version is needed.

It's there, people just have to read the info at the OP.

    Same here.

I've installed lng ago all the prerequisites. I'll run the -BAT and registry key and DLL are added. I can download the "test update" but windows won't install it.

When I tried to check the updates available today with Windows update, I got an error saying that Windows was experiencing an unknown error. And the updates check were not completed.

However, yesterday I installed all available updates.

Should I do something or just wait for future ESU updates?

I'm trying to install these manually. Are these the first ESU updates?

Restarting helped and I didn't get an error in Windows update anymore. But no new updates are available for me.

@Saint - Looks like 2 hours as well.

I hope it is the "KB culprit" that took out my desktop screen saver and sounds that have to be put back on each time I reboot or start up.

Anyways, seems the last updates took shorter than this that is for sure.

People, why are we now removing legit updates, only to see a TEST update getting installed?

The solution for all those who CANNOT install the KB4528069 file was already written here by @enesalpa last Tuesday, 14 February. I transcribe it literally because it is the only solution for the ByPassESUv3 patch to work properly.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with all updates until now
I have the latest SHA-2 updates (KB4474419-v3 and KB4490628) installed long ago

Today (with WU I received the KB4534310 update. Also NET KB4532941 and the monthly KB890830.
    After reboot the KB4536952 appeared
    Installed the KB4536952
    Reboot

    Installed ByPassESUv3
Installed KB4528069 manually and it failed

    Removed ByPassESUv3
    Unistalled KB4534310

The KB4536952 uninstaller does not appear
    Reboot

The KB4525235 and KB4532945 appeared and installed by themselves
    Installed ByPassESUv3
    Installed the KB4528069 manually OK
Installed the KB4534310 with WU OK

This is really getting ridiculous.... It's just a TEST update.

Seems like a lot of people here don't read the posts carefully. Its annoying indeed.
Stop cluttering this thread please The BypassESU v3 doesn't work since the last regular januari windows updates.
So just wait!! untill further notice from the developers! That's not to hard to understand ..is it?
    Thanks

For those who couldn't be arsed to check the recently updated OP:

  19. I'd rather keep KB4534310 than have the ESU test update instead. Besides, uninstalling that update would be risky anyway and I bet most would agree with me.

Just wait until next month or anything special. It won't be long.

I was just going to say "at some point this is becoming either sad, or funny".
Luckily, you chose the "ridiculous" side :)

We need an old fashioned FAQ.txt :vertag:
(Those are great memories, from the late 90s?)
... but of course, nobody would read that either.
