I'm glad so many people are seeing good results. For me, though, in contrast to last month's perfectly smooth event, on the four of my six Win7 machines I've done so far, I've encountered quite a few headaches, although there have been no hardware or major software changes on any of them. I have two Lenovo ThinkStation S20 workstations that are almost identical in terms of hardware. On one of them, WU found and installed all three updates just fine. On the other, though, WU only found the the Evil Software Remover and installed it. I had to fool around with the other two for about 40 minutes (a rollback and problems installing the .NET file, though I've done it lots of times and know how to use the Bypass just fine). Anyway, I got them up and running OK. The other two are laptops: an ancient Lenovo ThinkPad x200s and an HP EliteBook 840 G1. WU worked fine on the former. On the HP, WU handled the Software Remover and .NET update OK, but the cumulative update failed and led to a rollback. I then installed the security-only version, which worked. Then I tried WU again, and it found and installed the quality update, which now appears under "Installed Updates". When I look at "View update history", though, I see KB5003233 twice. Next to one is says "Pending", and next to the other it says "Failed". I've restarted the laptop a couple of times, but nothing changes. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens on my other two laptops: a Lenovo ThinkPad x220 and an HP EliteBook 820 G3. Regarding the four I did tonight (I'm in Berlin), I guess it's all's well that ends well - though I should probably save my joy till the other two laptops are done. I'm plan to try to do it tomorrow. As I've written before, I've been using the wonderful Bypass since the very beginning. Yes, I've made some changes to my machines (hardware and software) during this period, but I'm nonetheless fascinated by how much the Windows Updates Tuesdays experiences have varied over the months. Somehow, thanks to the Bypass, I've always managed to get the task done on all six machines in one way or the other. The Team really deserves a lot of credit for what they've done for of us. Thank you all. I'll close by saying that I also have two Win10 machines, two Intel NUCs. I'm still not fond of M$'s "new" OS, but the relative ease of the update process certainly show that it has a major advantage on the second Tuesday of every month. Having said this, my preference for Win 7 is unshakable. I'm really not looking forward to what will happen when M$ pulls the plug in 2023 or whenever. I guess 0Patch will still be available beyond that time, but I'm sure it'll get even more expensive. Furthermore, and I've recently read something that raised some questions about the company's internal security procedures. Whatever. Have fun!
Four Windows 7 boxes updated! Thank you @abbodi1406 and team for sparing me from the grief and despair linked to Windows 10.
No .NET framework update offered for me, just the quality rollup and the malicious software removal tool. Does anyone know why? W7 SP1 x86. Using v11 bypass tool. EDIT: I've found the .NET framework update. It's under optional updates. I'm sure it was included in important updates previously.
I only got .net framework update and a windows defender update or sth, I had to download kb5003233 and after that it installed fine, as happened with the previous month rollup, does anyone know why? I've run the troubleshooting described in the 1st post already
All updates went smoothly installing on my Desktop PC & Notebook. Keep up the great job that you are doing. I greatly appreciate making this possible.
Moin @ All! My May 2021 ESUpdate experience for Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 systems: "Licensing method": KB4528069 & BypassESU-v11 KB5001843 (Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7 SP1) -> succesfully installed KB5003165 (Cumulative Security Update for IE 11 for Windows 7 SP1) -> succesfully installed KB5003228 (Security Only Quality Update for Windows 7 SP1) -> succesfully installed @ abbodi1406: Thx for your support! Great job!
I'm writing this in the unlikely case anyone's interested in what happened on my Lenovo ThinkPad x220 and HP EliteBook 820 G3. WU installed all three updates on the Lenovo. On the HP, WU saw all three and tried to install them, but KB5003233 produced a rollback when the machine restarted. I downloaded it and the manual install worked fine. Another month of successfully updating all six of my machines - thanks to the Bypass team! Thank you all.
Hello , My apologies for disturbing this way, I would like to know that we have a Windows 7 Ultimate OEM Key purchased, can we install it on our Windows 7? Useful with the: BypassESU-v11 please? Hoping to receive an answer. I thank you very much.
Even ntlite will not succeed in mixing up 32 bit updates to a 64 bit system. It may be confused by the fact that the W10 system used to do the integration is 64bit while you are working on a W7 32bit image, not sure if that combination can work without some additional switches being used. I do not know what these are since I do not have any W10 system to try this from, maybe someone else has some clues.
