I couldn't agree more. After seeing all the crap that Google is forcing in Chrome 91, I switched back to Edge. At least MS/Edge lets you disable all the extra useless crap ver 91 of Chromium browsers have.
@Enthousiast As you may know, on Jan 15, 2022 update end for Edge on Windows 7. Is there any way that a crack can be made to keep getting Edge updates on Windows 7?
Pwsh7 will apparently now offer updates via WSUS (have taken a screenshot, however am not allowed to post or embed links yet, looks like). Do we think this is safe for us, or could it be breaking? In the meantime, I have not enabled this.
How much money to you want to put on your baseless thought?????? I think that MS in the last year of ESUs, will do everything they can to get people to move off of Windows 7 and that cutting off updates for Edge early, will be one of them.
nahhh.they are a lot of companies who pay for the ESU updates.microsoft is still making money from 7 even this marketing situation.dont know about chrome, but pretty sure edge will get extended support.
How 'bout it @abbodi1406 is there any way to spoof the identity of Edge on Windows 7, so that it can continue to get updates, when Edge on Windows 7 goes EoL in this Oct 2021?
Hello everybody, i had to restore windows 7 ultimate from a previous image (august 2020), but unfortunately i can't install updates kb3068708, (KB5004289) and (KB5004229). The updates kb3068708, (KB5004289) are installed, but the (KB5004229) no and when I restart the system it deletes the previous ones installed. What can I do? Thank you. Resolved; i reinstall kb4592510 and kb4575903, after launc BypassESU-v11!! But why this?
It depends if they restrict the updates by CBS packages (i.e. only Server editions), or ESU validation like Windows 7 we cannot know until they are released
August patches installed with ease and no difficulties: KB5005088 Monthly quality rollup KB5004871 .NET framework rollup No SSU this month Thanks @abbodi1406, @Enthousiast, and everyone else who help keep the rest of us up to date and answer our questions.
