Thanks for that information but I cannot get the ndp48 KB5006060 (x64) using .NetFxr ESU Bypass v.5 to install at all. It says failed. Then I get an Error Code 1642. I even tried installing in safe mode and get same error message. Do you have any other helpful hints in resolving my issue that I am having?
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1610362/ Remove .NET Bypass, uninstall .NET 4.8, reboot, then install it again
I tried this several times with no luck at all. The October 2021 Ndp48 KB5006060 x64 does not install on my Desktop PC or Notebook using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Message says failed. Error code: 1642. Last I tried this several times with no luck at all. I also read the forums link you have provided. It does not install on my Desktop PC or Notebook using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Message says failed. Error code: 1642. Last Netframe installed on both devices was 8-10-2021 Ndp 48 KB5004755. The October Ndp48 KB5006060 will not even install on both devices. Any help would be greatly appreciated I am having difficulty in resolving the issue on my Desktop PC & Notebook. I also removed Bitdefender Total Security & Turn-Off all the settings for Malwarebytes Premium From Desktop PC but still no luck at all.
Win7 PRO x64 KB5006743 breaks the connection to my network printer. It becomes inaccessible, impossible to print, and I have yet to find a way to solve the bug. Uninstall the update, problem solved. If anyone can help, much appreciated. If too OT, please point me to the correct topic. Thanks! P.S. It seems sorted.
You can try to install BypassESU in Windows Thin PC and Windows Embedded POSReady 7 installed on the VM, as it may work fine on Windows Embedded Standard 7, but not on Thin PC and Embedded POSReady 7. And also BypassESU works with Server 2008 R1? As it also have ESU updates until 2023, despite it based on Vista rather than 7
I apologize if this has already been asked, but I am trying to install KB5004755 the 2021-08 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 7 x64. With the Bypass installed the update appears to complete, however it does not appear in the list of installed updates. This happens with both the stand alone and Windows Update versions of this KB.
Can you check version of this file? it should be 4.8.4430.0 for KB5006060 Code: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\clr.dll
All is good then when you say "the list of installed updates", you mean the one in Control Panel > Programs and Features? or WU history? because it will not show up in WU history
I know how it fixed itself but I don't know why. I was using system restore to recover the printer usability and it worked. Before the KB, no issues, after the KB no access to printer. I spent hours trying to fix it with no success. After posting I tried uninstalling the KB manually, rather than using SR and upon restarting Windows something went wrong and it failed with the message "undoing changes". Windows restarted and I had the KB installed and a working network printer.
Are you having the same problem as me, where the update says it completes but doesn't appear in the list of installed updates? Symptoms: update does/doesn't ask for reboot if rebooted- no Windows installation activity (percent of update being installed) C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\clr.dll has been updated previous NET 4.8 update has not been removed KB5006060 registry key exists, but only has default value- not package name, version etc. KB installation appears to be incomplete Edit: OK, I saw your original post where you're getting Error code: 1642, so these appear to be different problems with the installation of KB5006060.
Hi! I'm not receiving the Service Stack Update KB5006749 through Windows Update, though I did receive Monthly Rollup KB5006743 and .NET KB5006761. I tried the search option but it didn't find anything new. I know I can install the update manually but I'm a little surprised because it's the first time I have an issue like this since I use the ESU Bypass. Does anyone know why this could be happening? Thanks a lot to all the team.
