I hope not. While keeping 7 up to date with the latest security updates is nice and I am appreciative to those who figured it out, I would rather live with the annoying 10 than reformatting my hard drive and starting over from scratch.
not quite sure what do you mean here - if you can't upgrade in place you'd have to reinstall either way. I'd rather pick an extra few years of 7 myself another thing to consider is that Win 11 just came out and it has a much more 7ish interface than 10. But it's still in early stages and getting features removed and readded, and there's no LTSC yet. I've considered upgrading my primary 7 PC but I decided to give it another year and see if 11 matures and gets an LTSC. (I know M$ has said no LTSC until 2024 but I'd bet you even money it'll come out while ESU & ESU hacks are still operative )
Me too Nykto....I'm on Windows 7 Pro (x64) and happy to continue using it for a long time more. I use the ESU ByPass from MDL and my machine does everything I need it to do. Probably one day I'll upgrade to Windows 11....but I'll need to be sure that it has passed the "Beta" stage that it appears to be going through at the moment...kinda like Windows 10 did/is still doing also.
I've been trying to install KB5007236 on my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 for ages without any luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled bypass ESU, tried to install the update both through WU and manually (downloaded it from Microsoft Update Catalog) but I always get the "Failure to configure Windows updates. Reverting Changes." error upon restart. I've been searching through the forum and on this thread for solutions but not of the ones I've tried solved the problem. This is the first time I've been having this issue. All previous updates installed without error. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Good evening, I am having the same problem, after having tried every solution available on the internet, including: hackandpwn windows-7-esu-analysis-updates and this tool, which i have used without digging too much into the documentation, but still failed the installation of the latest november 2021 rollup: askwoody.com standalone-installer-script-for-windows-7-esu-regardless-the-license/ I have to point out that I am still stuck at august 2020 updates. What is your update situation?
Were there any important updates for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit SP1 this December? Nothing was installed on my computer. The last important update I have is Security Monthly Quality Rollup for November (KB5007236).
@abbodi1406 I have one other question, is their still no way to install the .Net updates on WES/POS 7, even with WSUS Proxy?
