I ran it, then used the tool to remove it and no errors, but it still showed up in Add/Remove Programs. I tried then removing it there and it said it had been uninstalled and would I like removing it from the list, which I did. I have 3.5 installed but the programs that keep popping up need 4 or better.
Resolved. I went thru my restore points, and back on January 31st it listed Net Framework 4.8 as a program that would be restored, and it worked. Thanks for all
Ok, I have that too. But I have the impression that it is not yet completely removed. The restore point thing is a good idea. It's a stopgap. I will see if I can find one from this year. Thanks for your info!
Hello, I have some problem installing KB5006743 on Windows Thin PC already updated june 2021, I tried the bybass V11, but doesn't work... any idea?
What's the error and how it does not work exactly? officially, Thin PC edition is not eligible for ESU
KB5006743 Error: 80070003 "After installing this update and restarting your device, you might receive the error, "Failure to configure Windows updates. Reverting Changes. Do not turn off your computer", and the update might show as Failed in Update History." This is expected in the following circumstances: If you are installing this update on a device that is running an edition that is not supported for ESU. For a complete list of which editions are supported, see KB4497181. If you do not have an ESU MAK add-on key installed and activated. If you have purchased an ESU key and have encountered this issue, please verify you have applied all prerequisites and that your key is activated. For information on activation, please see this blog post. For information on the prerequisites, see the How to get this update section of this article. What should I do?
Hi, I'm new here. I have Windows 7 pro updated to 2020-01 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4536952) I installed all the recommended updates as per the first post minus the last one (Updated Windows Update Client) because I previously installed a monthly quality rollup. Then I restarted. I installed the ESU Suppressor + WU ESU Patcher + .NET 4 ESU Bypass using option 1 as administrator. I rebooted again. Windows update offered 3 updates: 2021-10 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB5006743) 2022-02 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.7.2, 4.8 for Windows 7 for x64 (KB5010581) Microsoft Edge Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB5001027) Where are all the other servicing stack updates and security updates? I tried to install a Feb 2020 servicing stack update (the next one after my latest) manually downloaded from the catalogue and it said the update wasn't applicable to my computer. Do I need to delete the software distro folder and try again? Won't I loose my update history? Thanks
Ok I think, I understand. I just need the latest servicing stack update and then I can install the rollups and don't need to install all the previous updates. Thanks
Do I need to install anything if I used the simplix update pack? It seems to also detect ESU updates but I don't know if I need to install this as well.
Simplix will bring you up-to-date to a point in time, but if you're gonna run the System from there on, you will need Abodi's ByPASS to get the ESU opdates.
Ok. I was wondering though because on the simplix update page, it says it integrates the ESU update bypass into it. I can also see ESU updates available after searching including Optional Update KB5010798.
All that means is that if you manually install updates, they will install correctly. If you want Windows Update to do it for you, both for rollups as well as .NET updates, you will need Abodi's ESU ByPASS installed.
It doesn't, it only patches for being able to install ESU updates by using the packs, it doesn't patch WU like the ESU bypass by @abbodi1406 does, for WU to offer you the correct updates you need to run the bypass.
Thanks once again to the developer and all who assist in the forum. Another smooth Patch Tuesday. Monthly Quality Rollup .NET 5 update SSU Windows 7 x64 Ultimate w/ ESU/.NET patch v.11
