OP doesn't mention what to do after running the script. Should I follow this two-year-old tutorial? I don't think so, considering it's clearly outdated Are ESUs offered through Windows Update? Or do I need to install them manually? Do I need to reboot the computer after running the script? These are the kind of questions I couldn't find an answer to
On the .NET Frameworks updates, do I need to install those cab files as well? And if so, where do I extract them to? Thanks
I can't install the 2022-05 update, any info I can give you to help me troubleshoot this? During installation, something fails and changes are reverted Update Tried using DiSM, and nothing goes wrong (as in there's no error in the log) Everything happens after rebooting. I'm guessing I made a mistake when running the script or something, since Microsoft Support says
I'm having the same trouble as gartner & SkullHex2. For over a year, these patches have worked flawlessly and I've simply updated on patch Tuesday. This month, the Monthly Q&S rollup errored out at 95% on reboot and reverted. I've tried multiple times, re-installed the patch, tried manually updating it - same thing. I was hoping that others had this problem and the answer would be here. I'll check back in a few more days or if I find a solution.
I have not find a solution on this problem.. The strange part is that is only on one of my pc's that got the issue this mount.
2022-05 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB5014012) Installation date: 25-05-2022 19:26 Installation status: Failed Error details: Code 80004005 im having same issue as other users this month, On reboot, changes fail. and system gets reverted the .NET patch went smooth wihout issue On another PC, running 7 Pro ( 32bit) no issues On an old netbook, running 7 Starter (32bit), also no issues Maybe it's an issue with x64 systems only?
Windows 7 Aktivation is gone on multiple Systems. Some Microsoft Update removes the Windows Aktivation, when ByPassESU 9 or 11 is used.
Bulls**t. ByPassESU has nothing to do with your Windows being deactivated; if you make a comment like this show proof that it's caused by using the bypass and don't just post comments like that
I figured out why the latest roll-up(May 2022 update - KB5014012) wouldn't work on my windows 7 x64 machine. It turns out that I lack the monthly roll-up of December 14, 2021 a.k.a. KB5008244. Install this one first then KB5014012 will work afterwards. If starting from a clean install of Win7 Service Pack 1 x64 bit, follow all the prerequisites as indicated in the OP and ENSURE you have update KB3108664 then you may proceed with automatic updates. Once you hit the wall with KB5014012, as in it failed to install, manually download and install the previous roll-up KB5008244 from the windows update catalog. KB5014012 update should work after that.
Hi It did not work for me. KB3108664 was installed in 2020. KB5008244 I did not have, but failed to install, says "update not valid for this computer"
That update would not install on my computer. It says the same as gartner's computer said. I'll keep trying things. I wonder what the common factor is in our computers.
