2~3~4 days ago was patch tuesday (Dec. 13. 2022), here you can find the updatepack that will enable you to install the missing updates: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...egrate-hotfixes-into-win7-distribution.45005/ Here you can find a SiMPLiX pack ISO creation tool to create an uptodate ISO: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-aio-iso-with-install-wim-esd-creation.79421/
I appreciate the effort but dont really want to use 3rd party tools, always had bad experience. ESU bypass also should not be integrated in my opinion,
Are you using the internet explorer or edge browser (html based version)?! Or do you use the firefox browser or chromium browsers or opera brave or something else?! If yes you are using 3rd party tools or secondary party tools. Shame on you^^
"Do the dev plan to port/include POSReady 7 updates in the future for retail oem edition like ultimate etc ? Is this even possible ?" This is the MOST important question at this point seeing that there is now no evidence of the alleged "3 more years" of potential updates from a previous suggestion as far back as July. A POSReady 7 hack would extend support until October of 2024. At Present I have the Bypass ESU , EMET , and the free version of 0Patch on my Win 7 system.
Happy Christmas Day to ALL the Windows 7 Lovers out there! Probably the last Christmas of Windows 7 as a supported OS. The Feelings are mixed:Happy for ALL the memories of my life that I shared with the legendary OS and Sad that the support is ending.Hoping even at last moment, that support will be extended.... Let's hope to the best to happen. Wsh to everybody out there , to have a great Xmas Day! ^_^
Well however it goes i will dual boot it with something newer maybe linux. too much compatibility issues, running several devices that only supports 7 and over all 7 was great bloat free beautiful os, windows 11 just inventing the wheel again + the bloatware and spyware. not feeling the need for upgrade except for future security reasons. How is the experience with 0Patch is it any reason to have it now ?
reason -> efficient and smooth update on an sp1 isos without waiting for hours of update thank GOD to the person what made this very useful tool
I don't know how to do that. Rename pack? Did the simlix knock the auto windows update off? Didn't know that. Hope it isn't too hard
You don't use Simplix? How would you update a 7 just installed?:In a bind here. Thinking since I used simplex screwed up my windows update. Wish someone said this before. Should I proceed with this 7? I have a 7 on a failing drive. The updates stopped around April. Says failed. Don't know if I can clone it before imminent failure. I'll try to sort this 7 out if not back to the failing HDD 7. Let me know
@rhreznor Simplix pack discussion and correct info is here: Simplix Pack to update Live Win7 System/ Integrate hotfixes into Win7 distribution Code: Changelog: 12/22/14 Added KB5020861-x86-x64 (replaces KB5013637-x86-x64) Added KB5021291-x86-x64 with telemetry and processor check disabled (replaces KB5020000-x86-x64) Certificate update similar to KB931125 and KB2917500 December 2022
Please don't clutter this thread with unrelated questions, when you want info about simplix then go to the appropriate thread and read/ask in there: Simplix Pack to update Live Win7 System/ Integrate hotfixes into Win7 distribution
Well you have to install the latest windows update client and sha1 update and it will work on a fresh install. Preparation for bypass will make it work.
A few weeks ago I installed some updates, after not doing so for a few years. I used the NET bypass I'd used back then, but now I'm getting an Windows Installer Service error whenever I try to run Adobe Acrobat from a shortcut. I've tried using the NET bypass remover and restarting several times, but I'm still getting the error. Removing BypassESU and restarting the installer service doesn't help either. Please help me fix this, I really need to use Acrobat right now, but the broken service isn't even letting me uninstall Acrobat. Various MSI files seem to be working, however. running Acrobat from a shortcut gives me a Windows Installer Service error running the Acrobat exe opens the program, but then shows me a bunch of AcroCEF.exe errors, which have a "Fault Module Name" at KERNELBASE.dll selecting "Repair Installation" from within Acrobat gives me a Windows Installer Service error AcroCEF.exe errors are usually followed by crashing, e.g. crashing whenever I try to Ctrl+F Trying to uninstall Acrobat gives me a Windows Installer Service error I used BypassESUv9 for the updates, and here's the NET bypass I used: Spoiler: installer.cmd Code: @setlocal DisableDelayedExpansion

@echo off set "SysPath=%SystemRoot%\System32" if exist "%SystemRoot%\Sysnative\reg.exe" (set "SysPath=%SystemRoot%\Sysnative") set "Path=%SysPath%;%SystemRoot%;%SysPath%\Wbem;%SysPath%\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\" set "_err===== ERROR ====" set "xOS=64" if /i %PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE%==x86 (if not defined PROCESSOR_ARCHITEW6432 ( set "xOS=32" ) ) reg query HKU\S-1-5-19 1>nul 2>nul || goto :E_Admin for /f "tokens=6 delims=[].
