POSReady 7 is only in it's early 3rd year of ESU. It didn't go EOL until 2021.

hmm, any ways to install security patches from Embedded or POSReady7 to full Windows 7? That way we extend support for at least 1 more year.

That's what we're working on now.
Then I think install security patches from Embedded is of little significance, because the ESU of its third year is only until 2023.10.10, which is far less than the 2024.10.08 of POSReady 7

Now waiting for the first patch released by M$ for POSReady 7 after the end of full Windows 7 ESU, and try how to install it on full Win7.

Do you know if Microsoft have changed the methods for telling the KB's that will come?

So, Maybe CSA Updates' download links on M$ Server are worth fetching (Like the previous Project: CSA for NT5.x ), we can create new threads for several NT6 OSes to collect the links every month.

I think there is a way to disguise Win xp modification regedit as POSReady 2009 to continue to obtain patches until 2019. I think it is possible to disguise Win7 as POSReady 7.

No, the devs of this group said early on that, that style of update hack doesn't work on 7.

On my Server 08R2 VM I was able to get thru WU the update of 2023-02 kb501736. But just as @abbodi1406 said the 2023-02 .Net Rollup failed w/out his new pending .Net patcher. I recently put on the prereq update of KB5016892 also.

I tried to manually install 2023-02 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB5017361) on Windows 7 Pro x64 and it said "The update is not applicable to your computer"

Did that update just come out today or was it from last week?

    Try to install KB5022872.
KB5017361 is old update - 2022-09 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows Embedded Standard 7 for x64-based Systems (KB5017361)

Why does it say KB5017361 was last updated on microsoft update catalog on 2/8/2023?
Which version of KB5022872 should I install there are 2?
Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Embedded Standard 7?

it does not matter - they both point to the same msu link (if using the common x64/64bit edition)
only x86 (32bit) link for embedded 7 is different

@vp2 I couldn't get KB5017361 to manually install on my Win7 Pro x64 VM, do you have another KB# ?

KB5017361 was replaced by newer updates. It has wrong name after metadata update.

I installed update KB5022874 (Sec. only) manually. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits.
I took the update for Windows Embedded Standard 7 for x64-based Systems

    To-morrow I 'll install KB5022835 (IE cumulative)

And then 1 more to go : KB5022731 (NetFrame-work Roll-up) I hope there will be a solution for that update..
