2-2023 updates for Windows Server 2008 R2 from microsoft catalog , can also installed manual ,after install BypassESU v12 ,in windows 7 Ultimate If continue that ,maybe support end in January 2024 as Windows Server 2008 R2 .. Thank you to everyone for help in this thread .
For that reason of the same updates ,somewhere will be a trick for the updates to be available through Windows 7 Update Search ,as Windows Server 2008 R2 .
Sorry but I'm a little bit confused, so if anyone can confirm I'm right in the following points : Assuming your win7 machine has all ESU till January 2023, you have to install v12 Abbodi's script After that there shall be no updates via windows updates .. only via windows update catalog to know KB numbers of updates you have 3 options .. include "date" in your search (for example 2023-02 to get latest February updates) @ windows update catalog .. or follow windows 7 hotfix repository thread @ stickies .. or visits MS official update list page If you didn't install v12 script , then you can download updates from windows update catalog but they won't install Am I on the right track ?
1. 2. 3. correct 4. Bypass v9 & v11 still works (currently) to install Windows updates, but not .NET 4.x updates Bypass v12 works for both
In my case (currently) Windows 7 Pro and BypassESU-v11 with all ESU updates as of January 2023 the only update was: Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64, v5.110 (KB890830)
You made it for Home edition by mod of identification data for Pro edition. Can you change it to Server 2008 R2?
why the hell can't you just appreciate what's available??? If you want that try creating it yourself or shut up
I am really delighted! I confirm that the update for embedded Windows works also in full windows! We can still get the security updates until October this year! (After that only PosReady7 will continue to update for 1 more year at least). Regarding the IE updates, I remember they stopped one year ago or so. Can/should we still update it from somewhere? Is there a windows catalog that shows the updates each month? I am only aware of the main for Windows only... Then same question for the .Net updates, I always had issues with installing them, so continued only with security updates...
Starter/Home editions and ESU supported editions share the same update category: Windows 7 simple registry change was enough Server 2008 R2 has separate update category, which is detected based on NT ProductType Embedded 7 also has its own update category, which is detected based on Kernel-ProductInfo licence policy which in return is easier to fake, but receiving ESU updates for Embedded 7 itself is not possible without WSUS proxy https://forums.mydigitallife.net/goto/post?id=1710620#post-1710620
Does anyone have find in microsoft update catalog, and try the updates for Windows Embedded POSReady 7 ,if can install them manual ? If can work ,I suppose we will get extend support till Oct 2024 for Windows 7 .
I can't get the new Bypass to install on two PCs I keep getting this error on both: Checking . . . ==== ERROR ==== Failed detecting OS SKU. Verify that Windows Management Instrumentation service "WinMgmt" is working. Press any key to exit. Anyone know any solutions? I have checked and WinMgmt service is running. All AV and firewalls are also disabled. Running Win 7 Pro (64-Bit) on both.
