Hi all. Windows 7x64 SP1 Successfully installed: KB5032252 KB5032341 KB5032383 Question. Do I need to install KB5032191 separately for IE 11 or is it already included in the KBs installed above?
If you installed the KB5032252 security monthly quality rollup, the IE11 update is included in it. Check your version of IE11, and you will see it is now 11.0.320. There is no need to install the separate IE11 update.
With the bypass, I've managed to get windows updates till last month, but the November ones didn't appear. Looking through the thread, it looks like I shouldn't have even been getting the ones up to October. Is there anything that changed specifically this month? Also I decided to install the November patches manually, they installed ok but are showing in the update history as "update for windows (kb...)" or "security update for windows (kb...)" instead of the full description I have for the automatic updated ones, is this normal?
Embedded 7 patch is not solid as Server 2008 R2, but it's the only option for x86 can you check if this registry value set? Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\POSReady] "Version"="7.0"
This value (and the key) was missing - I added it, rebooted and checked again for updates - there were no updates found (possibly due to the manual updates?) If updates aren't showing on WU directly or via proxy, maybe they haven't been pushed yet and are only available from the update catalog? I did get a defender antivirus update, just not the monthly rollup ones.
Yes, WU will not show already installed updates but you can use a tool like WUMT or WuMgr, they show installed updates after scan WU_ESU_Patcher.cmd should have add that registry value can you check these files? maybe AV removed any of them https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1781401/
Only 1 of the 4 files (sle.dll) was present. I have a feeling I had downloaded the ESU patcher and bypass v12 but hadn't installed them. I think my system was still limping along with bypass v9, which still seemed to be working till last month which is probably why I hadn't installed anything else. I (re?)installed kb4575903 (kb4490628 claimed to already be installed), the esu patcher and bypass v12, rebooted, and now WU has found a .NET update - so hopefully it is working again. Many thanks for your help and your patience.
Always remember, if the gun is not loaded with bullets, then it will not shoot. Same with these programs. This crew works hard to keep this project alive & updated. Least we can do on our end is apply the updates when they are provided. And many thanks for all of their hard work on our behalves. ;>)
Yes you're right. I hope I didn't waste too much of abbodi1406's time I had been going on the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" strategy.
.NET 4.8 updates seem to be broken now. Since September 2023, all .NET 4.8 updates give the error "No signature was present in the subject" when I try to install. February 2023 .NET 4.8 updates give the same error too on 64-bit. All other ones install fine. Is anyone aware of a solution?
I tried using the .NET Framework Repair Tool, it just said to check my connection (I am connected to the internet.). I am using v12.
Hey there, I just performed a clean install, and regular updates to 2023-01 install completely fine, but then when applying 2023-11 rollups from WS2008R2 the system BSODs on startup with a 0x0000007b code. From searching on Google it seems to be an INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error - has anything major changed in those months? I’m running off of an NVMe SSD
