    You're 1 1/2 year late
the licenses are added, but they are not used

    I'm forseeing a bit of a problem for Server 2008 R2 specifically.
LPP KB5016892 doesn't contain POSReady related files such as "Security-spp-component-sku-pos-esu-year3-ppdlic.xrm-ms" etc
Is it even possible to install both LPPs KB4575903 & KB5016892 at the same time?
If not looks like this could be the end of the line for 2008 R2 already.

Yes, for they are independent updates.

Client licenses get installed on Client only, Embedded on Embedded, Server on Server
    regardless the update contents

why do you think Server will need POS ESU licenses?
if they decided to "extend" it, it already have Year5 & Year6 licenses

I was thinking about a way to force-install upcoming POSReady updates onto 2008 R2
What about retrieving those licenses from a W7 install and manually copying over to 2008 R2 ?

Edit : in the end we probably have to wait for February patches anyway to do any testing

They won't change the updates, they will be installable onto 2008 R2
the updates will check for Server Year 5/6 licenses and keys
similar to how 2023-02+ updates check for Client Year 4/5/6 licenses and keys (which are not soled)

Thank you & all others who have labored to allow us to update & stay safe after being abandoned by M$.

Beyond that, thank you for your tremendous patience in answering the same questions over & over, even years after they were first asked & answered.

History & personal research would seem to be a lost art today. Siri has replaced thinking for a generation plus now. ;>(

Thank you very much for all of us too stubborn to surrender to the M$ greed/spy machine. ;>)

I summon Abbodi1406 to this thread.

Gentlemen, do I understand correctly that the update for Windows 7 - "dawg is died", no more waiting?

What I'm asking is, can I now tear down all the Bypasses and patchers and install Windows 10?

You are of free to install whichever OS you like.
Have you considered Windows XP? I have not heard anything bad about in years...

    Suppressor will continue to work

i don't think they will change the updates themselves (.mum files) to block non-Embedded

Firefox 115 ESR ends Sep 2024
Maxthon (chromium based) continues to support Win7 & older like XP. It is also current & actively developed & updated. Its origin is Chinese if that is an issue.
Most others have or will soon end Win7 support.Use your fav search engine or use the link kindly provided by @alzcoew397 .
