What's funny is that Azure doesn't get Year 5 (or whatever this silent extension) for Server 2008 / R2

The extension could be ment for "Server 2008 For Embedded Systems"

Embedded Standard 7 is not eligible or get any new updates since 2023-10 (ESU Suppressor is the only way)
Embedded POSReady 7 is limited SKU of Standard 7, hence the same updates category

Firefox ESR is still under support for W7, including DRM Widevine.

Firefox ESR is based on the outdated firefox 115 engine. supermium is based on the latest chromium 121 engine and runs even on windows xp

I use Ecosia just to annoy Duck and Gargoyle. Remember, a tree is planted every time you search!

Floorp still works in Win 7 and is fully up to date with Firefox, as is Vyvfox. If you were using Ungoogled up to 109, simply move the Local and Roaming folders to your newly installed Supermium ones and you will then have Ungoogled Supermium which can be updated.

    If it was that easy...

Obviously is better than nothing, but google isn't just search, the sources of chromium are infested by any kind of Google services and IP addresses, as I already said the Vivaldi guys spent months cleaning UP the sources, and I guess (at least I hope) that a similar work was done in the unggogled chromium.

It's just the supremium author would have done a way better job backporting the unggogled chromium rather than the plain one (with just a couple of patches which have little to do with privacy, imported from UG)

As you say, better than nothing. It´s only there for those odd occasions when a Chromium-based browser is needed. I accept some session cookies but everything is wiped when the browser closes and during the session IPv6, third party cookies, webrtc, webgl are blocked, DNS is limited, IP and SSL are obscured and there is precious little useful data for Gurgle to collect. I can live without javascript too.

However, that is not what the average user wants which is what Supermium caters for.
