If you are trying to say that .Net 4.8 may not be on the system, well when I go to Programs & Features it is listed right there. And I had been getting .Net updates prior, also when I check the Bypass v13 installer, it only offers to either uninstall the .Net one or uninstall the Updates one. Also, after running Windows 7 for nearly 15 yrs on PCs and VMs, why do you think I'd be stupid enough to have not installed .Net 4.8 one & a half decades ago???????

    Moin @ All!

My January 2025 ESUpdate experience for Windows 7 Pro / Enterprise SP1 x64 systems:

    "Licensing method": KB4528069 & "new" BypassESU-v13f

"Installing method": Manual download and installation via Microsoft®Update-Catalog

KB5049619 (Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 4.8) -> succesfully installed

KB5049994 (Cumulative Security Update for IE 11 for Windows Server 2008 R2) -> succesfully installed

KB5050006 (Security Only Quality Update for Windows Server 2008 R2) -> succesfully installed

KB5050681 (New Extendet Servicing Stack Update for Windows Server 2008 R2) -> succesfully installed

The following additional update was offered by the Microsoft servers via the Windows Update Search and was also successfully installed: Security Intelligence-Update for Microsoft Security Essentials.

@ abbodi1406: Great job & thx for your support!

That may indeed be a better explanation !! And I have just checked, the latest Monthly Rollup for x64 actually contains both the x64 and x86 updates for IE. (at least most parts of the x86 Update)

Anyone feeling adventurous to retrieve all the IE x86 files from the Rolllup and try to use them on a real x86 build ?

Edit : still the question remains though, why both the x86 and x64 File Information for the Server 2008 R2 category are listed,
they also did it for the 2024-11 IE CU, whereas there's only the x64 File Information listed for 2012 and 2012 R2 category...

I still can't figure why my Win 7 VM can't get .Net updates. I was using WSUS proxy on it, but at least 6 months ago I switched to BypassESU 13f. Would this have anything to do with it?

    Hi all,
the same situation in my 2 PC with Win 7 Pro, but I have always used all the previous BypassESU without any problem.
Apparently BypassESU 13 can't find .NET update.
I will be very grateful if somebody could solve the issue or give a suggestion about the matter...
Thank you very much in advance.

BypassESU 13f you've got install .NET 4 ESU. How about installing it manually? This one goes 100% dotNetFx4_ESU_Installer_v4.

Yes, the manual installation using dotNetFx4_ESU_Installer_v4 works fine, thank you.
KB5049619 (Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 4.8) -> succesfully installed

However, the strange thing is that I have never had to use dotNetFx4_ESU_Installer_v4 before.

    Hi.

This month WU only shows me this update:

    KB890830

Which is "Tool for removal of hurtfull software" or something like that.

I am not offered the Monthly rollup that I usually get.

Does the new Stable Pack, KB5050681, need to be installed before WU will offer me KB5050049 Monthly Rollup?

The Stable pack is also not shown, but I guess I could download it manually and install it.

    Am using BypassESU-v13f

try installing the monthly rollup manually; if you get an error you need to install KB5050681 prior to running updates for Server 2008 R2

My manual installation way was :

    1. Step ndp48-kb5049619-x64

    2. Step windows6.1-kb5049994-x64

    3. Step windows6.1-kb5050681-x64

    4. Step windows6.1-kb5050049-x64

I was having an error on the : ndp48-kb5049619-x64 if i have installed the : windows6.1-kb5050681-x64 first; all other updates was installed succesfully with your installation way.

Maybe the problems are that this month began a new ESU year
    (counting since January 2020)
