Just right click the 7z and extract here/or the the folder with the 7z filename and use the pw when it asks for it.

They have to be shared by someone who has access to ESU channel of updates. They are NOT going to be available on the public channel (ignore people who is saying otherwise)

Considering that the ESU test update is available on catalog and it checks for ESU compatibility, else it won't install, the ESU updates probably will be made available on catalog too, and if not, then there probably will be people who know where to find them;)

Hey there, When installing the test patch, KB4528069, the installer got hung up and wouldnt progress and after about 30 minutes I cancelled it to try again. Now it just fails the install. Should I try reinstalling the bypass?

This update is only a test ESU update, only to confirm that the bypass successfully installed or not, it has no other function.

The failure you mentioned is probably more windows update/system related, it scans the system before it starts installing but it should not hang, it should show a "failed" message.

I'm confused. Why would one uninstall/reinstall the bypass if it's already installed successfully in the first place?

Well, earlier on in this thread, some stated, from their point of view, that it's only necessary to have the bypass installed when you're going to install the ESUs after downloading them once Microsoft starts publishing/distributing them. I suppose it's up to each individual user whether or not they want to have the bypass installed when not installing ESUs.

Hi Enthousiast, thanks for the reply. The test update installed correctly, and is shown in my Installed Updates in Control Panel. If I run the test update again, it says it is already installed. So, I guess, all is well without even trying to install the older update (KB4519976).

One more query, please. Now that I have ESU installed, must I go to the Microsoft Update History Page and check for updates and then download them manually from the Catalog page...or can I do the normal check for updates from the control panel (or will Microsoft notify me as per usual before updates ended Jan 14th)?? Thanks again.

Yes, in general, if it's in the install, best to update it.

    Hello,
I am a newbie. I have downloaded Bypass ESU v4.7z. I have unzip it and I have a bin folder and others installer.bat and remover.bat etc.... First I would appreciate if you could tell me where I could download the KB4528069 test update together with the test. What to do with the bin folder?? As already said I am a newbie and this represents a mountain to climb. I am a French Canadian trying to get around with English but it is not easy. Many thanks in advance for your help.
