Not from here, as it would be Homebrew. Although I could imagine that one MDL-curated final release with everything included might be able to be provided...
Hi. After installing update KB50733695 a lot of my programs have stopped working. Specifically programs that are listening on ports. Like VNC Server DVBViever Media Server And maybe other programs. It just not possible to connect to them eny more. Are anyone experiencing the same problems? Thanks in advance rco133
Do you have all firmware´s, bios´s, drivers and all windows updates all .net frameworks´s, C++ Redistributables and all software´s up to date?! If not; do it and report us if you have still problems with your program´s.
Hi. Suddenly after maybe 5-10 minutes all the listeners startet to work again. No idea why they took so long to start. Thanks for the replay though. rco133.
Hi. Sorry to write again. But does anyone have problems accessing shares on other PC's after installing KB50733695. I have 4 shares on two other PC's, and when I try to access them I no longer could. However I could acces a share on the windows 7 PC from the two other PC's just fine. I then removed KB50733695 and now everything works again. I can access all 4 shares on the other PC's. Anyone experienced something like that? Thanks in advance. rco133
Can one tell me what the new ntkrnlpa.exe is in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder, it must be new?!... Thank you so much^^
I'd like to know more about this as well. Do other people have any problems with shares? I was about to install this update and then saw the above message. Currently I don't have shares on my other computers. I have shares just on Win7 Ultimate 64-bit but I am planning to create shares on other computers at some point as well. I don't like the possibility of breaking anything with this update.
I'm having no issues with my network shares with the new update, on Windows 7 Enterprise x64. Edit: As a note, I've been using the rollups for all updates with no issues personally outside of the time browsers broke in late 2024 iirc.
@rcolsen @RegTheEvil Quick note for those experiencing problems with KB5073695 Rollup for Windows Server 2008 R2 for x64. When we started using Windows Server 2008 R2 for x64 for our Win7 updates I made the decision to use only the security updates version (KB5073699). The "rollup" is updating & changing Server software that may not be applicable to Win7. I only needed security updates once Win7 specific rollups ended. I have not experienced any problems with the security only updates in these many months since making this decision. TRY rolling back from KB5073695 & then installing KB5073699 if you have problems. JUST MAYBE your security will be updated & the rest of your Win7 system will continue to work fine. Let us know here if this does help.
Hi. Thank you all for the input. Since I uninstalled the update everything is working again. I have always been using the monthly rollup, but I could try to install just the security update. Or try installing the update again, and then see if the problem occurs again. Its just a very tidius proccess. Removing the update took 1 hour, so it not something I am very keen on doing again. rco133
We, as a group, appreciate your bravery & sacrifice if you try again. Create a new system restore point if you are sure your system is ok now. Don't use WU. Download KB5073699 from the M$ catalog to your machine then run the KB. Shut down any other running programs first that you might be running as well as any security programs. Close your browser & VPN if you have them running. Manual update with the file you downloaded as (KB5073699). They can be a bit slow at times so be patient. Once you are informed that the update is complete restart & let us know if you are now ok with the update. This file is 1/3 the size of the rollup. It is around 53.7 mb. Thank you very much for your service. We at MDL salute you. <o. d'-'b TY ;>))
Please, Let us know when & where. We thank you & MDL. Guessing we wait a bit for the dust to settle first so we know it is the very last with all bells & whistles included. The greatest of the great. ;>)) b;>)d
