1. No. only for confirmation that the bypass is working 2. Yes, for now you are 3. Any of the three mentioned options at the OP probably will work 4. All updates are reported/published in the sticky Windows 7 Hotfix thread 5. After installing the bypass what more help would you need?
I have read through this entire thread. It seems to me that there is only one thing lacking... Reading comprehension on the part of most of the posters. I have seen the same questions answered over and over... ad infinitum. Enthousiast, I must say... In my humble opinion, I believe you may have missed your calling... You have the patience of a saint! Hats off to the developers and forum supporters here. They are what make this forum what it is!
Thanks for your work. Is possible to make any tool or script which automatically, compare installed updates with online catalog, download and install missing updates? It'll be great Thanks a lot.
For me, already has become the first 02/07/2020 ESU update available, and I installed it yesterday successfully! The update number is KB4539601 It's really great to see this bypass script working! I would like to thank you again for your work on this project!
As stated before that update is available for everyone. It's supposed to fix the black wallpaper bug that was caused from the previous update. It's not an ESU only.
In Europe it is usual for Microsoft updates to be available at night or more regularly during the early morning of the next day.
Same as myself here in the UK. Also, about that shutdown bug, it didn't happen to me. I can confirm this as I was able to shut down my system just fine the other day. I don't see why it's been happening to others (but it appears that the latest wallpaper fix update wasn't the cause of it, apparently).
As an aside, not regarding this workaround regarding ESU past January 2020, is it necessary or advisable to install Preview Rollups if I am a single user of Windows 7 SP1?? Thanks
