this time laps (40-50 min) is really strange. That is too much time before the pc shuts down. i only can explain this by some slowness that could affect yout machine. So did you notice some slowness when using your machine lately ? This can be also explained if the machine is not very powerful, is it the case ? Now that the updates have been installed successfully, no need to worry about anyting.
It is a laptop from 2011 but this is not usual for it to take this long at all. And on my old pc from 2007 which is less powerful no such thing happened (although I did it slightly differently there).
Buy MS ESU or upgrade to Windows 10. If you want to hack things and do things manually in the official way, expect some issues. All can be solved when you pay attention.
I have the W7 familial edition version 64bit. After having installed bypassv3 then v4 with the KB ... 069 test last month successful, yesterday I received the update KB890830 and the KB4539601 with Windowq Update is it enough ? If it is missing should I install others manually and remove the bypass before ? If yes which ones please..Thanks for your help me because it's difficult to have an opinion on this post because we read everything and its opposite here and I would not like to make false manipulations and errors because I am a beginner
Everything is very simple and effective. As previuosly reported, install the 3 prerequisites: KB4490628 -> KB4474419 -> reboot -> KB4523206 1. Install bypass v4 2. Install KB4528069 (unlocks ESU, you can uninstall the bypass after that - CONFIRMED - if you want) 3. Install KB4537813 4. Install KB4537767 Do not install KB4537820 or any other rollups to avoid telemetry. All is working perfectly. 3 PC with Win 7 pro 64 bit. No problem at all. PERFECT AND SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS ! Thank you very much indeed...
When the hell did i say that people could download ESU updates from WU ? There is no single post from my side which says that. So please read carefully members' posts before writing things i never thought about or mentionned before.
I only quoted you in a relpy to Tito69, sorry for the misunderstanding. Tito69: "yesterday I received the update KB890830 and the KB4539601 with Windows Update is it enough ?"
I was able to successfully do the updates in the order you mentioned. However, @abbodi1406 recommends (on the OP) to NOT install KB4537829 (Feb SSU Upate), so I would recommend forgoing at this time. However, as you mentioned, the forthcoming Bypass update (mentioned on the OP) will probably mitigate any problems introduced with this update.
I have installed monthly rollups ever since MS began releasing them, but I would like to switch to installing security-only updates going forward. Does anyone know if this would be likely to cause any problems? I know it has been recommended to stick with what you have been doing, but I am wondering what consequences, if any, might arise from making the switch.
That's copied from me here on MDL: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...pdates-eligibility.80606/page-58#post-1577353 You can install ESU updates without the ESU-check suppressing update, but not after the Feb. SSU is installed. The method i posted allows to install all ESU updates, incl. the Feb. SSU.
I don't know what script you mean, the ESU Bypass won't do that. It's not advised to use that badly created official MSFT homebrew ISO, better to create your own uptodate win 7 ISO, check the simplix update pack thread.
