I only quoted you in a relpy to Tito69, sorry for the misunderstanding. Tito69: "yesterday I received the update KB890830 and the KB4539601 with Windows Update is it enough ?"
I was able to successfully do the updates in the order you mentioned. However, @abbodi1406 recommends (on the OP) to NOT install KB4537829 (Feb SSU Upate), so I would recommend forgoing at this time. However, as you mentioned, the forthcoming Bypass update (mentioned on the OP) will probably mitigate any problems introduced with this update.
I have installed monthly rollups ever since MS began releasing them, but I would like to switch to installing security-only updates going forward. Does anyone know if this would be likely to cause any problems? I know it has been recommended to stick with what you have been doing, but I am wondering what consequences, if any, might arise from making the switch.
That's copied from me here on MDL: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...pdates-eligibility.80606/page-58#post-1577353 You can install ESU updates without the ESU-check suppressing update, but not after the Feb. SSU is installed. The method i posted allows to install all ESU updates, incl. the Feb. SSU.
I don't know what script you mean, the ESU Bypass won't do that. It's not advised to use that badly created official MSFT homebrew ISO, better to create your own uptodate win 7 ISO, check the simplix update pack thread.
Same thing happened to me (40-50 minute reboot, as noted in a previous post I made here), and then when the reboot happened, it went through the usual configuring screen, restarted again, and now all is well, laptop is preforming as usual
However, is that how we should do the update? The OP still recommends NOT installing the Feb SSU Update. I would prefer this method, but not if @abbodi1406 recommends against it.
[QUOTE = "agony111, poste: 1578123, membre: 1337911"] Je vous ne rechercher que dans un relpy à Tito69, désolé pour le malentendu. Tito69: «J'ai reçu hier la mise à jour KB890830 et KB4539601 avec Windows Update est-ce suffisant » [/ QUOTE] Can you answer my question or help me please because I am a beginner and the translations are bad especially when the discussions are based on IT. I would like to find a site in French but I do not find unfortunately Thanks
@abbodi1406 was the one who mentioned the ESU suppressing update and what it really was capable of, i am the only here in direct contact with @abbodi1406 & the IMI Kurwica team and this is discussed and found working (and with permission i post info from them), for as long as msft doesn't change it for march 2020.
Thank you for this. You and @abbodi1406 are the only 2 posters I trust in this convoluted mess. Sorry if I sounded like I didn't trust you. I was only trying to find out if the method was recommended. Thanks for all you do!
Both of these updates are not ESU , kb890830 is Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool MSRT released in jan 2020 if i'm correct and the other one is preview of monthly rollup and was supposed to fix the black screen problem. if i'm correct it was superseded by KB4537820 so no need to install it. So did i answer your questions ?
