Oye menso, lee las reglas del foro antes de postear y entiende que este es Internacional, sólo inglés.
So you don't need to install that bypass right now, just very close to the end of days. Understandable. And yeah, I was going to ask when was it necessary to remove the bypass. This is all clearer to me now.
Good evening, I am a French reader and I have just registered, precisely in relation to the interest I have in the subject of this topic. What is the difference between the BypassESU-v2 and v3 versions? Thank you in advance for the explanations you can give me Sincerely
Hello everyone from Italy, I made my registration on this forum because I need one information, please. I deeply hate Windows 10 so I am trying to keep Windows 7 as long as I can. I have two computers, the first one runs Windows 7 Pro and the second one Windows 7 Home Premium. I did on both computers the procedure: install the 3 prerequisites: KB4490628 -> KB4474419 -> reboot -> KB4523206 - install BypassESU - install the ESU test update KB4528069 Given that KB4490628 and KB4474419 were already installed, with Windows 7 Pro everything went fine, BUT once I did it on Windows 7 Home Premium trying to install KB4523206 I got a pop up message which said: "The update could not be installed" and I got stuck. Maybe I did something wrong, if not I hope it can help as a feedback At this point I am wondering IF BypassESU really works on home edition. If negative: 1) should I switch on Pro Edition? 2) Should I wait next year and see if maybe something will work on Home Premium? What do you suggest me to do? Thank you
Thank you @abbodi1406 ! So, the right sequence is: KB4490628 -> KB4474419 -> reboot -> Windows 7 PRO KB4523206 Windows 7 HOME KB4531786 (that I have just installed in my computer a few hours ago by Windows Update) ... and then, for both, BypassESU and then the ESU test update KB4528069... and then read this thread to see any update and news ! At this point, after 14th of January I will be able to get new updates and patches just by clicking on Windows Update like I usually did? Forgive my ignorance, is it correct?
Checking my understanding... From what I see, there is no longer any need to "update" from 7 ultimate to 7 enterprise?
Not if all works, maybe only for when intel kills off CSM/Legacy BIOS, maybe for activation purposes Pro or Enterprise can become leading
see updated 2nd post, it's for any edition no, getting ESU updates through WU is probably not possible the bypass only allow installation
Is sliced bread all that good? I will admit some is. But others, such as white bread is not. Anyway, I prefer Windows 10, but my wife likes 7. But all things will pass, and as computers wear out, and get replaced 7 will no longer work. Life goes on.
Then tell me why XP is still a "thing", when a very small percentage of the world still hangs on to it after five years it was out of support for. Besides, 7 may go the similar way.
