Why don't you just install the bypass and next reboot, and see what happens, that would make it a little bit more clear. Nobody else reported this behavior after running any of the bypass versions released, nor did this ever happen during all the beta tests by the team. The log should be simply opened by notepad, no need for elevated rights. Your install is f**ked up, dism /online /get-packages didn't run and these errors found and repaired
Hi, is it right that the Security only is inside the Rollup, so that i only need to install the Rollup? Thanks
You can uninstall Bypass with remover.bat: it is no more necessary; before March MS Patch Day you should install kb4537829 in order to be able to install the next patches. At least, I understood and I am doing so. Bye
Yes. "Cumulative Monthly Rollup" (KB4537820) includes "Security Only Quality Update" (KB4537813) AND "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11" (KB4537767). If you previously received updates automatically through Windows Update, you only need to install the rollup.
I think I asked this before, but is there a place where I can get a full list of updates I must install if I were to set up a new Windows 7 Enterprise installation? Something like, the first 4 updates for the patch, the february patch and apparently a KB4537829 patch before installing March patches?
I tried both versions several times after a system restore each time to before either one was ever installed to make sure no traces existed. Same result. Profile wiped out.
The CBS log file says System, Dell, Administrators/Dell all require "special permissions" Don't know how to fix this. **Never mind, see below.**
Just ran it again and it ran and completed successfully. It is located in the Packages folder and not the CBS file. It is more than 6000 characters. I attached it. If you just want to see the ones for 2020 here they are: Code: Package_for_KB4532945~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.1 | Installed | Update | 1/15/2020 12:21 PM Package_for_KB4536952~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.3 | Installed | Security Update | 1/15/2020 9:22 PM Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~7601.24544.1.9 | Installed | Security Update | 1/15/2020 9:09 PM First one is .Net update Second one is SSU Third one ??? I think it is KB4534310 (shows up under installed updates in Windows Update)
Dear friends! I use Windows Ultimate 64 bit, I followed “Tutorial: How to use the BypassESU v4, to install February 2020 ESU updates”, installed BypassESU v4 and launched the update kb4528069-x64_b00bef3c3a13b8bc65bfaea63426386dbb54c336.msu But the installation failed, because computer says that I have to update Windows Modules Installer. How can I do it? Thank you in advance for your help.
Please use normal letter size. The tutorial recommends to use the lite version. But now you're using the full bypass v4: Did you use any updates blocking scripts before on this install? To test the systemfiles integrity, run this in an elevated cmd: Code: sfc /scannow and Code: dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth And check the shown log file.
I apologize to the members of the MDL Forum for this text, which asks two redundant questions, but I need some insight and some answers. I currently have a Portable PC that still runs on Windows 7 SP1 Family Edition Premium x64 (64 bit) and Windows Server 2002 R2 SP1. After the end of Microsoft’s support for Windows 7 on 01/14/2020, and following the advice of the MDL Forum, I installed the standard version of the Bypassesu-v4.7z Windows7 as well as my KB4520869 test update, all successfully. Currently, the standard version of Bypassesu-v4.7z is still installed on my Windows 7 computer. Regarding the February 2020 ESU updates, again based on the advice of the MDL Forum, I have successfully installed only the following updates : - KB4537813 Feb. Security Only and KB4537767 Feb. Security IE11. I have not yet installed the ESU KB4537820 and KB4537829 updates. To date and at this point, is my Windows 7 SP1 system sufficiently up to date and protected like this ? As there are many Posts on the MDL Forum and as everything seems a bit confusing to me, and from what I read regularly on this Forum, especially with a view to acquiring the upcoming ESU updates of March 2020 without problems, it would be in theory preferable in my case, install at the first step the Feb. 2020 Rollup N° KB4537820, then uninstall the Bypass with the command Remover.bat” and install to finish the SSU Feb. update. 2020 N° KB4537829. Can this be done, or is there a specific order for the installation of the February 2020 ESU updates ? Thank you in advance to the person or persons who can answer me and inform me of the exact procedure to be applied and respected.
Yes, when you have the separate updates installed, there is no need for the rollup. To be able to install new ESU updates in march you will need the Feb. 2020 SSU (KB4537829) to be installed. You can follow the official tutorial for instructions, it's linked at the OP:
This means that the bypass is not the cause of all the weird problems you encounter. I would either do an inplace/repair upgrade or a full clean install.
I'll try uninstalling one of the allowed updates. Reboot. See if it will install without a problem. Worth a try. First I will create a restore point of course. Follow-up 1. Uninstalled KB4534310 from January. No problem 2. Rebooted - no problem 3. Checked for updates. Windows update found that critical update KB4534310 needed to be installed 4. Installed using Windows Update 5. Rebooted. No problem at all with profile. Nothing. In light of this, I am reluctant to do an in place/repair or full install. I do want all of you to know how much I appreciate all that the people who developed the software and are regular contributors to this forum do. I completely understand that you spend all this time trying to help people out of a genuine desire to do so. If I am one of the few who this doesn't work for please don't think I take any of you for granted. I am learning a lot from your self less dedication. dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth %windir%\logs\CBS\Checks ur.log C:\Windows\system32>dism /online /get-Packages /format:table >"%userprofile%\Desktop\Packages.txt" How to use Code tags. It's awesome. Thanks Regards, John
