My Bios does not have SLIC file according to Everest but does have this " Table Description OEMB: OEM Specific Information Table" ACPI Table Properties ACPI SignatureOEMB Table DescriptionOEM Specific Information Table Memory AddressDFFAE040h Table Length113 bytes OEM ID042208 OEM Table IDOEMB1438 Creator IDMSFT is this the same thing? Can I add an ASUS SLIC to it? My Mobo is an Asus M3A78-EMH HDMI BIOS version 0902 I have found a modded BIOS 0902 on this forum and would love to use it to enable an install of Vista x64 if this is possible. Please help me Thanks
Well I had a good read of the ASUS instructions for updating and recovering a BIOS. It all seemed pretty easy with and with 3 ways to recover a naffed BIOS it seemed a reasonable bet so Iwent ahead and tried it with a modded BIOS for my mobo that I found on this forum. I now have an ASUS SLIC in my BIOS and everything seems to be working okay. I intend to load Vista x64 tomorrow and then I will have the final proof of it.
