i have laptop Dell Inspiron 1420. i want to install windows7 ultimate OEM with SLP serial. i don't know how to mod bios version to update slic version. i do not want to risk my laptop. can i upgrade my slic and certificate version with daz loader 2.2.1. actually i guess i need slic and certificate version 2.2. the current version of my bios is A-10. help please.
Daz' loader boots using grub, copies the bios from rom to ram adds the appropriate slic then transfers the boot to windows which then continues to load normally. Since copying from rom to ram is a normal process to speed loading win sees nothing out of the ordinary. You don't have to do anything except install the loader ( and make sure an exception is added to your antivirus so that it is not blocked or quarantined) You do nothing to your computer bios, there is no risk of damaging anything. Got it running on W7ult and Ws2012. on Dells ...T
SLIC v2.0 = Windows Vista SLIC v2.1 = Windows 7 SLIC v2.2 = Windows Server 2012 SLIC v2.3 = Windows Server 2012 R2 If you're only going to be using Windows 7 then you can use the Windows 7 SLIC's.
