I dont want a dual boot loading screen, I simply want to go into my computers bios boot device screen and click on the drive that has ubuntu then ubuntu loads with no visible options.

Sadly when I try and install ubuntu it just overwrites my windows bootloader on a seperate drive which is a pain, and I reinstall Windows monthly so it would get overwritten anyway.

Just wanted a lightweight ubuntu as its much faster even on my i7 with 16 gig ram(just not as pretty)

Unplug the Windows drive before installing Ubuntu (or other Linux) ... plug in back afterwards :g:. Now the boot choice should start each system directly.
