Can I use a 12v adaptor on a 14v laptop?

I have a laptop that I'd like to give my daughter as an upgrade but I didn't have the original adapter for it. The laptop requires a 19v 4.7A and I found a 12v 4.16A adapter in the garage which will power it up just fine. Also, the battery on the laptop is listed as 14.8v 4400mAh.

Will the 12v hurt the laptop in any way?

I have other laptop adapters in the garage, what could be the lowest voltage I could go?
    I have these adapters:
    20v 3.5A
    15.6v 5A
    15.6 3.85A

I'm sure the 12V works fine on the 14.8V... More important, though, is the current consumed. You should look at the power consumption of your laptop (amps) and make sure the power supply is at least that or it will run hot and if seriously underpowered burn out. It looks like, by your specs, you are slightly under amperage. I am unsure if this closeness of amperage makes too much of a difference or not. Good luck! Wish I could of helped more.
