I said as I understand... MSDN/Technet offers other files as update 1! Edit: Just installed 'Windows Server 2012 R2 with Update' which also comes with v6.3.9600.17031. So yes, you have read something wrong but I am sure you can explain the difference between the real update and KB2919355. You don't? Then try to read my previous answer again.
Btw sebus if you liked my post then you may click thanks, downloading and extracting updates to find the right one does take some time
Again: I've never said your source is "fake" or something like that I said as I understand! As long as MS sells and delivers these bytes as official "Update 1", call the updated Update whatever you want. Any clean trial/retail/volume Windows Server 2012 R2 "Update 1" installation doesn't include it. Without internet/wsus you will never see this updated Update which is why I don't call it the real one. I think your question is answered. Let's stop this silly discussion now. Cheers mate! Edit: In the meantime the updated Update for the updated Update 1 update is out. Hope they don't update it again: microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42335
I see you pointing to the very same link I already posted in #622. Took you a while to realize that...
It took me a while? I realized the existence of KB2919355 already in post #619. But since Update 1 is repeatedly updated, all later updates (like KB2919355) won't change a single byte onto any installation media. They should call it 8.1.1.1/8.1.1.2 like they did with SP1/SP1a for Windows XP
