I didn't say it is difficult, i mean time consuming. Setup v.s. deploy is time consuming even if you use a vanilla ISO on a supported computer. Just try it once and you'll never go back
WhyNotWin11.exe showed I passed every test except TPM test which is unavailable on my Asus Z-170K. Something bizarre, the other day I ran the TPM.msc, showed I have ver 1.2 now it's showing no TPM at all. go figure.
Did you ever open your task manager? A 64bit system takes about 1.4GB of ram and that is practically unchanged since the vista days. A 32bit system would take from 600 to 800 MB and is a better choice, but the stupid MS is keeping 32bit W11 for itself, so I'm forced to test the 64bit one. In short I have 2GB free, I can even run a couple of 32bit VMs w/o "chocking" anything. P.S. That machine had originally 512MB, I already upgraded the RAM to the maximum reported by acer, although I'm sure it will accept 8GB (which were science fiction when acer wrote the specs), not going to happen. 4GB are more than enough, if I need a very ram consuming task, I connect to my home server and use it via RemoteFX
Great Keep it UP . Do Comment as much negative about anybody as much as you can so that most pof people will know who is a spoon of ?
Okay. I am reading that image wrongly. Perhaps the language is what confused me on the RAM usage. Thank you.
Yea that image tells that I can use 3.75GB of ram over 4GB of installed memory 4GB - 256MB dedicated to the VGA, I can set the VGA ram in a range of 32-512MB, 256 is just the default and is already too much for a machine not intended as gaming one.
DVMT afaik is an intel only tech, perhaps surely not available on HW of that age even if coming from Santa Clara. Perhaps some video editors takes advantage from the VGA but the raw power of it is more important than the dedicated VGA ram. VGA RAM is very important for very large displays, 3d gaming and 3d rendering CADs, none of which is my problem in my machine. I use there WMC (wihch works fine in W11), Kodi and few other similar programs, all of them are OK with 32MB of video ram on a 1280x800 display
Yes your answer is absolutely correct & accurate. i am very happy . you have a good knowledge. Pl Stay Blessed n Share as much as you Can to improve community people knowledge. Be Happy Always
Same her. Installed on an olde Laptop (2011) without TPM and secure boot. Just Core i5, SSD and 4 GB Ram. Until now running fine.
The reason I opened this thread, simply was to point average users (Non-Hackers, etc. what the normal MDLers mainly are!) to basic existing apps which gives the reader/user the ability to check his/her machine would be able to run Windows 11 or not. The majority of the Computer Users is just simple users, without the knowledge about the "How Too" to simply overcome upcoming obstacles which are really predicted by setup Windows 11! For myself, I know that there a lot of ways available to overcome the upcoming problem of installing Windows 11. Some will be very easy, others or even many will be not easy at all! And just to tell, what I would, could or should do with my machines, is simply up to myself! What I need to do with my machines, I know very well, and, if there is any Upgrade needed for to do my work, etc., I will do the necessary, just not everything at any cost or why that's predicted by 3.party like Microsoft, other developers, MDLer or who else!
So it's a pointless question. If you want the stupid answer that a stupid user could get himself, just launch a w11 compatibility tool and look if it's green or red, no need to ask on mdl
Lol... running o Inel E5200, 2GB Ram , swapped 240gb ssd and all fine ...litlle bit animations jerky ,,resolved after gt210 addition,,,,so far better exp than win vista i could say . Its totally MS decision for new hardware is totally BS ...for whatever WIn 11 be still vulnerable and have attacks as much as win 10 or else had.Its nothing that new cpus wil support that much it its all about security
runs on an old ga-990 mobo with an fx-4300 cpu 8 gb ram runs on a lenovo ideacentre but more modern 7th gen intel
People who are running Win 11 on unsupported hardware, especially those without any TPM, how has your experience been? Are you able to update or running into the same issues as Mobocratic Asylum? MS should just release something akin to Windows 11 Lite, for systems that don't meet the security requirements. They can move forward and still keep supporting older hardware and keep their market share high.
not a single problem,in place upgrade to latest released build, all running on a g751 with a haswell i7 and without any tpm.
