My ISO is retail and installation was activated with old HP certificate and the leaked key.So never mind the "ei.cfg". But using a repacked iso as incase of Vetas may invite trouble.
If you don't know how to repack, yes. But using a repacked iso may NOT invite trouble. if you know how to slipstream
My word was MAY not WILL. And if Vetas is that much thorough, he wouldn't have posted, in the first place. (No offences intended). Let us try to help him.
I defendly read may and not MAY but you were rite. So let's help him. When possible, I prefer to install the Operating system again, with a unmodified RTM OEM ISO.
In Vetas' case which is the culprit ? The OS or the BIOS ? If he starts with an "untouched" ISO, we can atleast that much sure. Any way I hope he will try to re mod the bios or use the untested one posted by me an return the results. Till then.
The only thing changing ei.cfg to OEM channel does is display OEM EULA. Their is no difference between Retail and OEM. N O N E Changing the channel will not cause a difference at all. It is a waste of media. You don't even need ei.cfg for it to install cert from SOURCES/$OEM$/$$/SYSTEM32/OEM folder. Have you tried to activate though? Does it activate? Even if dump tool says it's messed up might still activate. That dump tool doesn't even work on my PC. crashes when I hit dump lmao
Huh? Has nothing to do with my OS. Vetas what motherboard do you have? Or a link to your BIOS? And can upload the one you used originally so I can compare after patching? NVM board see it on main post, however, which model of the P5K. But upload ur rom if you can.
