I maked Windows 8.0 Single Language EN-US ISOs (x86 and x64) from RU-RU ISOs (I removed Russian and added English). When I try to install it in VMware Workstation (I tried x86, then I tried x64), on a half installation on both installations it says error: Windows could not see the offline locale information. Error code: 0x80000001. How to solve the problem? I not maked any mistakes while making ISOs. Thanks.
Since both the en-US 8.0 and 8.1 ISOs are available, can't you just use those? The converted ISOs always were problematic because of f**ked up licensing (prevented Windows Update from working properly). I have the x64 Dell one with SHA1 8c6345e4ae37bd64911f2b2aa243ed604bbbe922
I know for 8.1, there are official ISOs, but I think only x64 version of 8.0 comes in English, but x86 only in Russian.
I meant the x86 en-US one. My experiences with converted CoreSL and CoreCS aren't that good. f**ked up licensing, preventing Windows Update from working properly, and some other things. Still running the CoreCS one. On a side note, does anyone remember the name of the one update that broke the Windows 8 branding on CoreSL and CoreCS? Because by doing that it actually repaired the installation (replaced licensing with normal Core files).
I think there aren't any Windows 8.0 CoreCS x86 ISOs. How to solve the problem with 8.0 CoreSL? Maybe I need to change the license or something other.
Well if its not working then you've still got something wrong with the conversion. I have both 8.0 arch for CoreSL and have converted, installed, and updated the installs. Couldn't activate cause I do not have a key. Did you swap the installers? When you got the install.wim and changed the language, you should have also got everything else in a windows install dvd iso and used that. What I mean is take your converted to english russian install.wim and put it in the sources folder of a Windows 8.0 English Dvd.
You could mount the virtual harddisk, go to \Windows\Panther and open setuperr.log to see more error details
