Cannot Run Angry Birds on Windows 8

    I get the following errors when running the all versions of Angry Birds on Windows 8 DESKTOP, These are the Desktop Version of Angry Birds and not the Metro Version

    They run perfectly fine on Windows 7 but not so on Windows 8 :(


    Angry Birds/Rio/Space/Star Wars all give the same error: :(

    OpenGL 2.0 renderer not supported! Reason:
    OpenGL 2.0 is not supported


    OpenGL 1.4 renderer not supported! Reason:
    OpenGL 1.3 is not supported



    I know that there are metro versions of Space and Star Wars available but still can't I run the Desktop versions?

    Bad Piggies is working absolutely fine.

    Is there any way I can run them on Windows 8 Desktop Mode?

    You will need to update your graphics card driver to support these OpenGL versions.
    Once installed, the games should run okay.

    Ok..I'll check for driver update for Windows 8..

    Yes, It's an AMD Radeon HD 7650M

    Thanks for the tip Tito ;)

    I got it working by downgrading to the stable Windows 7 Driver, instead of inboxed Windows 8 bare-bone driver, Thanks :worthy:

    Why a Win7 driver when ATI has a Win8 driver (ccc 12.10)

    Got and installed them ..Catalyst Mobility 12.10..Thanks :D
