    Hi there,

    I have a Samsung Aura R509 3200 laptop here. (Win10 64bit)

I wanted to upgrade the BIOS to version 03LP, but the tool doesnt seem to like Windows 10.

Before further experimenting or trying "Window 7 compatibility mode", I wanted to extract the EXE file, but Universal Extractor 1.6.1 returns a:

Cannot be extracted, Filetype returned was a C++ v7.1 EXE [Overlay]

Dont have time to install Win 7 right now to try the exe there. Also googling for "C++ 7.1 unpacker" reveals it is not possible (yet) ?

Maybe someone has an idea or am I missing something here ?
Winrar also doesnt like that file.

The EXE starts the "update process at once" on Windows 10 and then returns a "driver not ready, please restart" and there is nothing in the temp folder.

Here is a link o the BIOS exe file :

    p.s.
I read about the tool "Samsung BIOS System Upodate" and that it can do the job also, but only on 32 bit systems, having the "Easy Display Manager" installed, to run it in Win7 compatibility mode then...meh ;O

Hi and thank you for the tool ! :)

It does unpack the EXE but also throws out various error messages : (started as administrator and also tried Compatibility mode windows 7)

Error: 25136. Error writing to file ConResChs.dll Ok.
Error: 25136. Error writing to file ConResCht.dll Ok.
Error: 25136. Error writing to file ConResKr.dll Ok.
Error: 25136. Error writing to file WinUp64_V01.exe Ok.

The named files actually got extracted...but googling "error 25136" seems to be a rar/compression error...but not much to find about it.

Im not sure I should flash these files now, before further infos. ^^

    @itsmemario1

    Welcome!

Usually those errors are harmless, as most of the times the extracted files are ok.

Thanks for the info. I installed Windows 7 to create a dualboot system out of it and still needed to install the Easy Display Manager, to be able to flash the BIOS via the windows tool.
