Can't access bios in WIN 8.1

    After I installed it worked fine, I got POST and could hit DEL to access bios. Well I don't get the POST screen anymore, also I did some googling and went to advanced startup setting, but I don't have the option to access UEFI firmware settings as shown on a guide I found. Any help?

    Restart windows 8 and post is enabled. It's for fast shutdown

    Restarted, it wasn't there :(

    Try Alt+F4 and select restart

    Did that. The screen goes black for a second and then it shows windows logo and loading animation below it (it actually loads for quite a while) and then I'm back to windows ;__;

    Press shift+restart go to advanced options, you will find it there

    Disable fast boot

    Disconnect any other displays

    Did that but nothing there. Went to advanced options but I only have icons to access command prompt, restore a backup or boot in safe mode. Tried booting in safe mode but still cant access bios. Tried just hitting reset button but no bios, straight to windos logo.

    Last resort, disconnect the HDD

    That finally did it, thanks! Sure is a lot of work just to access bios :p

    Alternatively do "shutdown /s /t 0" from the command line.

    Maybe you configure bios for fast startup, this skip some tests

    PLEASE I NEED HELP HERE,somebody know how to view the serial that comes in the UEFI BIOS laptops with windows 8 oem? sansung is my laptop and I can not see serial number it in the bios, how do?:confused:

    At the top & bottom of each page is a huge green button with white text, "+ Post New Thread". Until a future version of vBulletin is created that can read your mind, I would try that.
