Hello MDL! I have a Lenovo y510p laptop. I rushed by and installed the update 1 on my machine when WZor said it was RTM. The computer was ok, except for a couple of errors from Avira (which was hanging me a 100% disk utilization). I uninstalled the antivirus and ran a system file check (sfc), it got some errors which couldn't repair, and googled that the solution was to upgrade the machine. I read that this could be solved by upgrading the OS with the same windows version. I grab a copy from TPB. I believed it was a core version. I went ahead and installed it. When I boot I find that my original key didn't work. I checked system properties, and verified that I was running the core version, which came with the PC (It didn't state "Pro" after the Windows name). So, did I grabbed the wrong .iso? If that so, where can I find the Core version of Windows 8.1.1? Thanks a million!
and you should download the iso's by murphy. and install it using slui smd.. u can find his thread in win 8 section
