    Ok so I upgraded my Windows 7 install, had it for like a week with no issues so tried a clean install.

    I did edit a few things in the image like disabling features (which seems to have broken the activation part of windows)

    I tried putting the key into elevated cmd and it tells me its invalid.

    Not sure if its because I broke something but its a legit key, I got it when 7 launched and from MS itself (that being said the sticker is somewhere so can't double check, I normally just backup the activated key

    @ryouga

    You don't need to input the key as your copy is activated by digital entitlement. Stick with the generic retail key for the appropriate SKU, be online & it'll be automatically activated.

    I think I broke something as I disabled a few features on my image, wifi doesnt work (well it shows in device manager but wifi available is blank) and the activate button does nothing, and when I try doing it through cmd it gives me a error code like class not registered.

    Do certain services need to be active for each so I can reactivate them,

    Open network and sharing center and see if wifi is enabled.
    If it's on a notebook it can also be disabled by a physical switch
    or by a function key.
