Daughter is on Comcast. She was using their old modem along with a router and everything worked fine. She got a new modem/router combo from Comcast, now her laptop will not connect wirelessly to the internet. Comcast sent out a so called "tech" today and he couldn't figure it out. Said everything was connected properly. Also said that he didn't know anything about computers. Great public relations, huh! I told her to call Comcast again and demand that they send someone out that knows what they are doing, but in the meantime, does any one have any suggestions as to what the problem might be? The desktop connected to the modem/router works fine. jetjock
Does the thing ask for a password? There should be a default password in the documents/papers that came the hardware.
She and her son say there is no password. I would have thought that the Comcast tech would have at least been able to figure that out, but you never know! Thanks. jetjock
All is now well with the world! After 1:45 of phone time with Comcast, they finally got everything working. jetjock
