HI. I tried rolling back and also downgrading my current HP bios which is the one that fixes the spectre issue. It seems to be slowing the computer a little bit and making it run warmer. After trying all the usual ways of rolling back and downgrading, and having no success, I learned that HP locks many of their bios's making them unable to be rolled back or downgraded (you can reinstall the current bios only) especially if they have an important security fix. Is it possible to remove this "lock" or whatever it is so that the current bios can be downgraded and an older bios can be installed? Thanks.
Model number is HP-15 F018dx, the bios is insyde F38, OS is Windows 10 Home, thanks. I'm not 100% issue is bios at this moment so I'm going to do a clean install of win 10 and check it and if problem persists I'll come back here with more info as needed. Thanks.
