Can't install scanner (mx870)

    As winturd8 installs it's own drivers, for some reason it will not allow me to install canon's own. Trying to install canon's printer driver results in error msg "driver already in use". Nothing gets rid of this. Installing the scanner results in error "printer driver not installed".

    Grrrrr.....

    Any ideas..??

    Have you tried compatibility mode (Windows 7) for the installation executable? Otherwise might have to wait for RTM, and Canon to update their drivers, if they will for your model.

    Can you at least print using the driver that Windows 8 installs?

    Yup, prints no problem, no way to add scanner.
