Can't log in Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS

    Hello i have problem that when i create user with terminal i can't log in. Its like log in loop when i enter password its showing me login screen again. But when i create user with GUIi can log in normally.

    Hi,

    No news since a week, maybe you have found the solution, maybe not.
    If yes, just say it.
    If no, can you precisely (I mean copy/past) tell us what you are doing in order to create an user from command line ?

    sudo su
    adduser [name]
    Thats all i use

    Can you check that /home/$USER is created when using the command line ?
    For example, if you create user "bla" with "adduser bla", what is the content of /home/bla ?

    Did a gpu driver fail? try nomodeset param.
