I go to "User Account Control Settings", then slide down the slider so that I do not get notifiy of any UAC black screen, but I can't press OK. I press it but then it does not do anything.

I tried it also with a new administrator account, same thing.

    does anyone have this problem?

    thanks

Could be that the service is disabled.

go to start, run : type "regedit"

    go to key :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center

create a new dword value and name it : "UACDisableNotify"

    set value to 0

Go to start, run : type "services.msc" and check if security centre service is enabled. if not ,then enable it and set to automatic.
