I changed the red parts and it still showed non-genuine: 55041-00168-305-190595-03-1033-3790.0000-2692009 After also changing this part, it was genuine. I completely made the ePID up. I didn't use any from Google. 55041-00168-305-190595-03-1033-3790.0000-2692009 I suggest everyone make up their own ePID and don't tell anyone. Need Win8/2012 KMS emulator :/ Edit: Theoretically, from a security standpoint, you can't even be sure they are not following your attempts to construct an ePID. You shouldn't try and change small parts of the ePID at a time and try to validate from the same IP address. Make a complete ePID up, try to validate it from a new IP address and repeat if it doesn't work.
A bit offtopic, but as this only effects Windows 7 (for now), shouldn't this thread be on Windows 7 forum?
Yes and no. It only affects 7 for now, but will most likely affect windows 8 in the future. And it's not really windows 7's problem as it can be loadered. Once validation supports windows 8 it becomes windows 8's problem, and this is the only solution for 8. So it's better if it's here already cause here it will get more attention. If it's fixed before 8 validation is brought online it saves some trouble. If it's on the 7 forum then it wouldn't matter cause it isn't a problem for 7. So I see this thread more as a "Windows 8 will be flagged non genuine once validation is released, just like 7 now".
slmgr /upk Then charge with "Windows Charger Script v3.1.cmd" it will be activated. You need to do this every time you run Microsoft Validation. It worked with Windows 7 Enterprise. Kindly comment
If you have it, release it please. Thanks, Cpt. Obvious. "We put out the fire, but repair that broken power line ASAP!" "Hey guys, next time there's a fire, just put it out again." Factually correct advice but completely useless.
Do you mean on the client? The client is a fully patched VM that's snapshotted just before activation.
What do you mean instructions? Just create a VM, apply all updates incl. KB971033, then take a snapshot and activate/validate. Afterwards, revert to the snapshot. All good virtualisation tools have snapshot functions. Refer to the manual.
Apparently, the Toolkit has a setting for it. I changed it in the source code of an old emulator I have.
I believe KMS emulator is excellent sample of reverse engineering, it like cracking Germany Enigma. hopefully some one does the same with windows 8.
Codys KMSemulator has the ability to add a pid to it. Has anyone tried that and if I tried it what pid would I put into it to make it work differntly?
Strictly speaking yes we are waiting for the Win 8 Validation. However it has been discovered you can check your validation by: Code: slmgr -ato A genuine Activation chain will have no problem doing this. Be warned do not do this if you don't like the notifications associated with a Non-Genuine System. Testing in a VM with snapshots is the easiest way to check how genuine you really are. Obviously this only works for Editions other than KMS, Online Reactivation of Retail, MAK etc. will check how genuine you really are. There is no point try to -ato against your own KMS server.
