What I meant to say was that if you have valuable and sensible info don't tell everyone, keep it for yourself until you have something completely safe and secure.
Do you know the algorithm of product keys and ePIDs? The part of the ePID that identifies the product key is a much smaller "keyspace" than the product key itself. Unless you know that only a handful of keys can have the exact same last part, there are a lot of keys that lead to the same part in the ePID. I don't even think they regarded the ePID as so important. It's just that they suddenly realised that KMS is used for piracy en masse and needed a way to identify rogue activations. And the only part in their design that allows for that is the ePID of the server on the client. It's all hindsight on their part and they now need to work with what they have. I'm sure the ePID was never designed to be that important.
Maybe others can use such information to make something safe and secure. Not all work is done by one person alone.
Hey i need a little info on this one. So my OS is flagged as non-geniune (KMS activated first and then used the WMC key) and i am really uncomfortable with this stupid Watermark at the bottom right corner. All my attempts to re-activate (including that data.dat method) have failed and now i was hoping someone would tell me ... "HOW MUCH TIME i have got"? You know, in Windows 7 the windows used to get completely blocked, not allowing users to enter desktop ... is it possible we'll face the same fat in this one too? But as you said ... the penalties are not as serious, then i dont need to worry about it right?
It was Vista pre-SP1 that had Reduced Functionality Mode. They removed it in SP1 but only after a major debacle happened. Even before that RFM was not greeted with joy by IT departments. I was in one meeting where the CEO told the Microsoft rep exactly what part of Bill Gates' anatomy they could stuff Vista into.
I am only concerned about Windows 8 Thanks for the response though. I disagree. The amount of optimizations in Windows 8 really makes it worth ones while. Plus, it functions just like Windows 7. Consider all those metro (now Modern UI) apps as "Enhanced Functionality" and your life will be much easier. Besides, I am not at all worried as i know a lot of brilliant people exist at MDL who will eventually find out a way to end our misery. Till then, its a struggle which i am ready to bear. Because i am fully aware of the end result which are always promising. P.S. I am deeply in Love with Windows 8. That Start Screen ALONE beats the crap out of any the previous OS for its Functionality and SHEER eye candy.
a.) KMS activated, then applied WMC key, then flagged non-genuine, that's all Windows 8 talk. b.) Daz loader will not activate Win 7 Enterprise c.) Daz loader comes from here at MDL, no need to look elsewhere. People who activate Win 7 volume editions against rogue kms hosts are being flagged non-genuine. They are not so much attacking Win 7, but rather putting the screws to kms hosts built using leaked activation backups. No genuine testing yet exists for Win 8, but the clock may be ticking for people activating Win 8 against such hosts. Edit - from that rslog.net link ... Daz has now become a group, rather than an individual?
b.) Oooopppssssss.................yeah, you are correct. It is Server Enterprise in various flavours........... c.) I normally check with those guys first and been trying to be helpful to someone, as much as I could............certainly does not make me willing to help you. Your comments are a bit attacking me.
Then I am sorry for the confusion. I thought it was your script. Original post changed with the proper credit.
my script was based on your detailed instructions that you posted earlier! so it is thanks to you in the first place
